Weekend Plans?

What's on your agendas for the weekend?

Today I went to the bank, went to Church, went shopping, and had a party at a local park for my niece's 5th birthday. The park was great. My cousin and I went hiking and walked across logs to a small island in the creek and hung out. Rob and I bought his early Baptism and bday gifts- a bass guitar and an amp.

Tomorrow I am having Easter dinner with Rob's entire family, then his sister and I are shopping for her wedding. In the evening we're making Easter Story cookies and coloring eggs.

Sunday morning the children and Rob are being Baptized during Mass. After that hunting eggs and dinner with Rob's exinlaws. Then home to sleep so we can get back to the regular routine by Tuesday when the kids go back to school.

Hope you all have a great weekend too!

Hugs, Mel

We're doing Easter at my house this year. Three of my brothers, my sister, my BIL and niece and two nephews are coming over. I filled those plastic eggs with spare change that we had (it's amazing how much change I can accumulate. This is a good way to get rid of it) and hid the eggs outside. We were supposed to get rain, but now they're saying that we won't get it until tonight.

On the menu we're having ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots. Before dinner, I'm putting out a plate of veggies and low fat dip and cheese, crackers and pepperoni. I bought some candy, but I made sure I bought stuff that I don't like so that I won't be tempted. I did buy some Cadbury cream eggs (love 'em!) but I haven't had any at all this year (except one last night for a treat) so I'm allowing myself another one (just one!) today. The kids will take the rest home with them. Oh, and for dessert, I discovered this bakery that only sells sugar free stuff, so I got a chocolate cake from there. DH is making an apple pie (I hate apple pie so I won't have any of that) and I bought some vanilla ice cream to go with that. I only bought a quart instead of a half gallon so hopefully there won't be any left over. If there is, it's going in the trash! I hope that my family isn't expecting the food that I usually have, but they always told me in the past that I made too much. This year I'm trying to keep it healthy without it being boring for the people who aren't dieting.

I hope everyone has a great day today :-)

Saturday i hid eggs at a park and dd found em and played then we visited with my mom and sis and they made chocolate sucker and stuff then she started not feeling good so we got home and i took her temp she had a fever of 102 so i cuddled with her and watched movies and then when she fell asleep i hid eggs and her basket. She never complains about feeling sick i have to feel her and realize she has a fever..lol..then i ask if she feels ok and she'll say kinda.

today dd woke up and found eggs and basket then we fell back asleep she's feeling better now so we'll prob go to my mom's tonite for dinner and maybe find eggs but it just depends on how she's feeling
