HI Everyone - I am a mother of 3 (two boys and 1 girl)a full time student and a have a full time job. After being a stay at home mom for 4 years were i packed on over 125pds I have realized that my weight is keeping me from enjoying the qualilty time I have with my kids. I have little time for myself, even now its after 10. I'm tired of being fat. We have never been much of a junk food family. We eat lots of fruie and veggies. I think my biggest problem is portion size and eating out. If anyone can help. I'm ready for some advice on how to drop back to my pre-mommy weight.

thanks.

P.S. This is my first time on this board. I'm pretty computer illerate.

Portion size and eating out can be real problems. Fruits and vegetables, unless the veggies have fat added such as butter and the fruits have sugars or syrups added, shouldn't do any damage at all. But the problem can be addends, or processed foods as well (and I'm sure you know that).

Some suggestions, keep a food journal for a week and then go back and see where you're getting off track. It's easier to fix once a pattern emerges on paper. Also, if you are going to eat out, try getting a menu ahead of time or looking one up online and that will help you make wiser choices when you go out to eat. Really though, if you can cut back on eating out and choose healthier options eating in....that can be an added bonus for your weight loss efforts.
