OT- Prayers needed
57
Mon, 04-12-2004 - 3:37pm
This afternoon Rob received a call from his National Guard Unit. He's officially on alert. He's been told to get all of his gear and paperwork together. Will, POA, ATM Card etc. His physical was scheduled for August and now that has been pushed up to this weekend. This was supposed to be a normal weekend, but now he's been told to bring an overnight bag and to be prepared to stay. This "feels" entirely different from when he was activated as security after 9/11. I would appreciate a prayer for his safety if you have a chance.

Love,

Mel

noted- thanks.

And don't be surprised if you get an email- either hysterical or jubilant- after his drill this weekend.

Hugs,

Mel

Karrie, I think another name can be added to the "icy, farty, princess, pat, etc" list--too coincidental attitudes in those posts.

You are so correct Ma'am. The minute I read that I was just in plan shock and that horrid display of ...of...whatever it was.

I have her on the ignore list as well as the other. I truly think if we start ignoring every persona this person developes, they will leave.

If you would like prayers and positive thoughts for your sister, then by all means ask for them. Don't be surprised if you don't get an outpouring of support from this board, though.

I don't think you understand how prayers work. They don't run out after a certain amount. Man, you sure have a twisted view of that. You might want to rethink your ideas on how prayers work or yours might not be getting through (and think of all that time wasted).

You did happen to notice how many people are willing to send their prayers and positive thoughts to Mel and her family, right? I'm sure you noticed, so I'm really puzzled at your adamancy that no one will be sympathetic. It's kinda like you're not even bothering to notice what's already here. Weird.

The only one I hear simpering is you.

Aren't you getting tired of this, Pat?

I'm too appalled by your remarks to even comment.

Hi Mel, it's gotta be hard to worry about whether he'll be called away.

My cuz's husband got called to Iraq a few weeks ago then she found out she pregnant. He'll be gone through almost all the pregnancy. It's too bad. Just know a lot of people on the board are here for ya =)
