Myrtle Beach is a popular vacation destination for families. There are a lot of different attractions for vacationers to enjoy. (We don’t enjoy all the traffic though, hehe) Maybe you will want to come for a visit.

We have lots of live theater places, The House of Blues (lots of great concerts), a baseball team The Pelicans, Myrtle Beach speedway race track, and Ripley’s Aquarium… they have a see through / walk through tunnel through one of the tanks. A few amusement parks and a few water parks. Fishing piers, tour boats, deep sea fishing, and scuba diving.

If you love golf… we have 82 golf courses just in our area! And that’s just the big ones…not to mention all the mini golf places. Across the border not far from us in Brunswick county there are more too.

Next summer we “should” be getting our first “major theme park”. It’ll be the Hard Rock theme park … kind of like Disney land with a rock and roll twist I guess. There is also talk of a science theme park too.

And don’t forget we have the beach here too. LOL

MEET MY FAMILY

Ben, Serena, Alex, and Lauren

Hi! It’s me.

Serena: I’m 23. My birthday is in September. I’m a stay at home mom. I’m not that good at it, LOL. I like to read and do puzzles.

Ben: he’s 25. His birthday is in January. He is the assistant manager in a grocery store and works a lot of hours (55 minimum but he usually works a LOT MORE). He is a big kid! He loves to play the Playstation games and wrestle around with the kids.

Alex: He’s 6: His birthday is in March. (Just had a birthday). He’s a handful, but I love him anyway. He has Asperger’s Syndrome, which is on the higher functioning end of the autistic spectrum. He also has severe severe ADHD. He loves art, building things, and arguing! He’s so smart and thinks about things in a different way than most people do. You can count on him to say some of the weirdest things. LOL. He is the handsomest boy you’ve ever seen with bright blonde hair and mischievous blue eyes. He’s already a ladies man and has had “girlfriends” since day care, LOL.

Lauren: She is 2. Her birthday is in October. She’s a girly girl. She’s so smart and is talking and thinking more than I expected of her. She loves to help and is already a nurturing person. Alex and Lauren love each other so much and it is so great to see them playing together. Lauren loves anything girly… shoes, jewelry, clothes, hair things, you name it. She loves to do everything mommy does.

Well there you have it… that’s me and my family and the place I live in a nutshell.

I'll be coming to your neck of the woods for Bike week. Well, bike weekend for me! I can't stay the whole week!

I've never been to Myrtle beach or bike week for that matter (though DH has). It's going to be prime athsma season too so I am bringing DS with us. We will be hitting the amusment parks and other attractions while daddy "plays" with his friends. I wanted to "play" too, but I can't leave DS with anyone during athsma season. I would worry too much...So I got the PG rated vacation while DH will have an R rated one.

Damn

BTW, is the ocean water warm enough

hi!

the water isn't warm enough for me! lol... but right now the water temp is at about 65 degrees... can you handle that? it might warm up a few degrees by then though.

your PG rated vacation will be lots of fun tho. there is lots to do if you have a little cash! LOL. you might want to check out the The Dixie Stampede or Medieval Times... those are both fun with kids.

Maybe I could meet you at the beach one day while you're down.
