ok well I got a reminder..excuse me..but Im still peeved cause I dont see where my post is TOS material....Or even "friendly reminder" material . I was suggesting a place for some of us to go so we werent all in the CL's and M's hair and as Mel said it great.."making their hair stand on ends"

So my apologies if anyone thought that little incident was to take people from the board..WAS NOT MY INTENTION AT ALL....like I said..it is just non censored and somewhere to go say the stinkin F word .

Look at it like this...ya remember in highschool when the girls would go to that one bathroom in the corner on the second floor to smoke? Well thats what the MSN group is...if ya want to come smoke come on..but if not its cool..we aren't being hateful or anythign on there...JUST AN EXTRA PLACE TO GO..thats it..nothing else..sheesh..Im still on hiatus though cause I am mighty agitated that someone may have reported that..Good lord .

How crazy. You all have to report a troll that makes multiple TOS violations, but April makes a post about another board and she gets it deleted?????? Seems kind of backwards to me. I like the idea of having another board where one can speak their mind without fear of censnorship or TOS. I believe that members of this board would be more likely leave because of trolls that continue to post unchecked, rather than leaving because of the addition of another board.

I would really like to see iVillage make some changes to the boards. Maybe an option where members can vote to remove someone (or at least their post) causing trouble. I would love to see them ban the IP address of those who continually cause troubles. Maybe they could allot more CMs, or give more control over the board to the CLs. There has to be a better way to do things.

Rob - I am totally with you there about the IP address, as I said in another post. Surely, SURELY iVillage keeps logs of all the activity on the message boards.

Someone must have the power to take further action against Troll, as Troll has acted in ways that the regular TOS doesn't cover. It is stalking. It is threatening, and proven to be a pain in the @ss that a nice little slap on the wrist email won't solve.

I challenge the CM's and iVillage to take more decisive action.

I think giving more control to the Cl's is the best idea!

Unfortunatly, there will probably be nothing they can do. A nasty little thing called freedom of speach probably have their hands tied more than anything.

Wrong. Ivillage is perfectly capable of going further.

"You have repeatedly broken our TOS. We have these logs with your IP address connected with 346908203957096 different aliases, and logs of you making threatening posts to other members. Because of your nature of your posts, we are forced to take further action and report you to your service provider."

If I had a message board on my homepage (which I used to) and someone tried to pull $hit like how Troll does, they would be DEAD, have no internet service, as well as no genitilia by the time I was through with them.

I don't even see their posts anymore. It has been ignored for a week now and I am happy that little ignore button is there.

Since you can't beat back on a bully in this medium, I would ignore the bully. Bullies want one thing and that is attention take that away and what do they have? Stop feeding it's need.

Well Im guessing that they have already banned her IP and is she is now posting from a public computer...which leads to a harder situation.

I still say if the need is not being fed she or he will go to another place to feed that need.
