ok well I got a reminder..excuse me..but Im still peeved cause I dont see where my post is TOS material....Or even "friendly reminder" material . I was suggesting a place for some of us to go so we werent all in the CL's and M's hair and as Mel said it great.."making their hair stand on ends"

So my apologies if anyone thought that little incident was to take people from the board..WAS NOT MY INTENTION AT ALL....like I said..it is just non censored and somewhere to go say the stinkin F word .

Look at it like this...ya remember in highschool when the girls would go to that one bathroom in the corner on the second floor to smoke? Well thats what the MSN group is...if ya want to come smoke come on..but if not its cool..we aren't being hateful or anythign on there...JUST AN EXTRA PLACE TO GO..thats it..nothing else..sheesh..Im still on hiatus though cause I am mighty agitated that someone may have reported that..Good lord .

Well as many times as that has been tried or suggested...there is no way to get everyone to do it 100%

Just FYI, many, in fact, I would venture to say most people, unless they are posting from work, have a dynamic IP addy. Static IP's are the only ones you can ban and have it do any good. "Banning," for the most part = booting someone out until they make a new username.

This is a problem for many boards.

Am I to understand that the mods here to not have "banning" or deletion priveleges? How in the world can they do their job? That would drive me bonkers to have my hands tied like that, and yet, get blamed for everything that happens.

Trolls suck. But your anger feeds them. Ignore Ignore Ignore can't be stressed enough.

As for someone being reported for "spamming" = posting about a new message board. Are there PM's here? (private messaging?) If so, it owuld seem that this would be the best way to have that news travel. Not only do you get to remain private, so that there are no "lurkers" but you also do not step on the toes of the mother board.

I know I'm new here, but I have to deal with these issues daily. I work a board that gets 100-300 users at any given time of the day. Talk about your headaches!

I forgot about the Static IP's. And you are right only static ones can be banned, which means that if anyone who is still using dail up can continually sign on and off and still be able to be rude and impolite.
