I like the elliptical machines, and I like swimming. No tips...I struggle with fitting it in a lot of the time.

read, write, computer, listen to music, watch movies and tv

5. Do you have a special ability or talent?

Jess, 240ish/192/130; counting calories and exercise; Oregon.

1. Strawberries, Fuji apples, bananas, oranges, peaches, carrots, and celery.

2. Elliptical trainer, stairclimber, stationary bike, recumbent bike, walking, and swimming. I think the best way to manage exercise time is to make a date with yourself, and plan your workout for a time of the day when you'll have enough energy to go.

3. Right now, I'm sitting on my couch with my computer in my lap, so...near me are a statute book, an outline for one of my classes, my computer bag, a good friend who's visiting me, and a can of Diet Cherry Coke!

4. Work out, read, watch TV, play on the Internet, go to movies

5. I'm a fairly good writer, have a great memory, and make a mean baking powder biscuit

6. I'd love to have a photographic memory--it would help my studying a great deal!

Hey! I've been on the boards for a few weeks now, but have been gone for awhile...the job has had me on the road 4 days out of 5 for the past two weeks--grrrr.

My name is Amanda, Here are the stats:

SW: 299.0/CW: 289.4/GW: 180 (I'm 5'7")

I'm from Virginia and joined the Weight Loss Forever Clinics 3 weeks ago.

1. Favorite Fruits: Applesauce (does that count?), bananas, strawberries

Favorite Veggies: Green beans and broccoli

2. Favorite Exercise: Walking. Tip: Get a walking buddy to talk to. It makes the time go by faster and offers an accountability partner for those days you wanna lie around the house and watch Dr. Phil :)

3. 5 Items near my computer: Wallet, necklace, 2 pictures in frames, bottle of water, and the mini-cadbury eggs I splurged on today (oops!)

4. Spare time stuff: garden on my deck, read, jigsaw puzzles, watch TV with the roommate (I'm sedentary--it's one of the reasons I'm in the space I'm in now!)

5. Do you have a special ability or talent?

Talking too much? :)

6. And if you could have a special power, what would that be?

I'd want to freeze time so I could sleep longer :)

Name, start weight/current weight/goal weight, plan that you are following and where your from

I'm Sabrina, 264/208/160-165. I'm doing the Atkins diet, and I've been on it for about 9 months. I'm a 25 year old from Ontario, Canada

1. Name a few of your favorite fruits and veggies.

Well, I've never been a huge fan of fruit, and I'm still in the early phases of the Atkins diet, so I don't really eat a lot of fruit anyway. So I'd have to say that berries are my favorite, especially strawberries and cherries! For vegetables, I love brussel sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower, especially with cheese sauce

2. What are you favorite exercises (have something to recommend?) and do you have a tip for managing your exercise time?

I love long walks, especially with my DBF. And he's gotten me into rollerblading recently, which I have found is SO much fun!! I wish I had a tip for managing exercise time, because I'm not as motivated as I should be about exercise! SO I hope there are some good tips given by some of you!

3. Name five items near your computer.

My phone, my Atkins for Life kit, my bed, a lamp, and the special edition, collector's item Star magazine all about Friends that I bought recently. Friends is my absolute, all-time favourite show!

4. What do you do in your spare time for fun?

Play on the computer, watch my favourite television shows (Friends, Survivor, Seinfeld, Judging Amy, American/Canadian Idol, Days of our Lives)Spend time with my DBF, who I only get to see on weekends now. We've sort of got a long distance relationship thing going on for now. It's neat, I met him when I moved into this apartment, because he lived in my landlord's basement, and I live in an apartment above the garage. But now he's moved about an hour away, and it's hard to not see him every day!! But the times we do see eachother, we appreciate more, so it's alright.

5. Do you have a special ability or talent?

Well, it's always been hard for me to say nice things about myself, but since my confidence is increasing as the weight is decreasing, it's gotten a bit easier. To this question, I would say that my talent is nursing. I currently work in a nursing home as a PSW, and I will be finishing up my nursing diploma in the next few months, so I'm really excited to move on up in my career!! I really love what I do, and I think that so much more important than how much money you can make.

6. And if you could have a special power, what would that be?

That's a hard question, but I think that I'll say I wish I could whip people into shape at work LOL!! I work with such lazy bit#@es, and it's really unfortunate, because the residents in the nursing home deserve a hell of a lot better than these selfish fools!! I think that if you're going to come to work just to socialize and order in food and shove your face constantly, then get a job where you can sit on your fat ass and it won't affect as many people LOL!!! I swear, sometimes I think I'm the only one around there who does any work! Anyway, sorry about going off on that little rampage...I'm just annoyed, and PMSing hahaha

That was fun, Shawna! Thanks ~Sabrina
