First one....why is it when we are the same weight as another we can't be in the same size of clothing? It is rather fustrating to see that and realize you can't wear that size. I think I am just way to curvy for my own good.

Second one....why do we have stores that make clothes for the fluffier than average women not cut the sizes true to size??? I hate LB for that reason. Still fumming over the fact I am in a 26/28 shirt in that silly store when I know I am a size 16/18 in the big designers. Look at that difference. HUMPHING

Third one....fiber is evil. I don't care if it is good for you. My tummy is rebelling and let me tell you it's winning the battle. Nothing I want to eat is sitting well but bread is. YEAH AND JOY. Sheesh coke is the only thing keeping it from going into a full assault.

Karrie, you are so right. The clothing industry is all over the map when it comes to sizing things. I think they are trying to do a psychological end run around the American woman, trying to make us feel like we don't wear the size we actually wear. It has gotten ridiculous. I just bought a pair of Calvin Klein cropped pants at Costco--usually I am a 6-8, bought the 4's because they looked so big and they are actually too loose. That is a joke, I am nowhere in the vicinity of a 2, but they think I will feel better to say I am in a 2 so they adjust the sizing. It is becoming difficult to even guess at what size to buy because they all vary so much. Anyway, sorry for the rant, it just ticks me off. KSAS

I tend to agree with the sizings from designers such as Jones of NY, Lauren, Dana Buchmen, Ellen Tracy, etc. They tend to run true to size and a vary only by the cut in those. I know if I wear a 16 in Lauren I will do so in the rest.

But stores owned by companies like Victoria Secrets and the such are never ever the right size and it has gotten worse. And it's not just clothes either! I am in a full cup size bigger in LB, which are VS bras, than I am in a $100 Walcol bra??? I am rather annoyed with it and there has to be something the consumer can do about it.

I have friends who fuss about the fact I tend to buy designer. Well, hello I want to wear something that is my size. Sheesh there is no way I am heading up to a size that says 26/28 on in. I don't care how cute it is on me. Especially if it is not my true size.

I have a few friends that are like just get the shirt no one will know. But I will know and it bothers me especially when I know I am not that large.

It's hard enough for me to buy clothes as it is because I am so curvy. Hour glass shapes were not designed for today's clothes. And you are right people like different looks and we are all built differently. I tend to go for very tailored things but I have friends who won't wear that style.

I'm like you Shawna; I don't like tight clothing, even though I could fit into the next size down if I didn't mind wearing it tight. Sometimes I think something that fits tight makes a person look bigger than if they wore the same thing in the next size up so it would fit properly.

At 222, I'm still in size 20's, and will be for at least another ten pounds. Once I'm in the 210's, hopefully the 18's will fit again!

I don't like anything too tight but I also don't like things too loose.

I am very much into the tailored look. However, tees and sweaters on me always look tight. I can't hide the boobage if I try.

I was the same way when I saw Sara's post. I think it's great that she's in a size 18. I weigh 225 and I'm still in a 20. But then again, I'm only 5'3" so she's probably taller than me. I'll probably be in an 18 when I'm around 210. Everyone's different.

But it's true about some clothing being one size and some being another. Most of my pants are 20's and fit me real nice (not snug at all) and then I have a pair of size 20 jeans that I can't even get buttoned yet. Go figure!

A cousin of mine and I have the problem with weighing the same and being different sizes. Her arms and legs are very large, as is her chest. My arms and legs are much smaller, and my chest is much much smaller..LOL!. I have PCOS, and women with that tend to carry most of their weight in their lower abdomen...incidentally I look MUCH larger from the side than I do from the front or back. My cousin doesn't have this and she looks wider than I do. We're only about 3 inches difference in height. I wear a 22 in some things, and a 28 in others! Which of course ticks me off, but I always cut labels out anyway.

What is PCOS? I have seen that several times but yet have to figure out what it is.

I am one of those weird people who gain weight all over but loose weight quicker in my top...except for the boobs. So I tend to pass clothes down to friends who need them. I have a friend who can wear the things that are too big for me and she is smaller than I am.

I hate looking in the mirror. I suddenly get bigger and wider...AKKKK gets rid of "the I look so cute today" complex.
