Prayer for the battle

You know I have thought about this and I have noticed that perhaps it might actually be needed on here. First let me say that I am not isolating non believers at all. Ya'll are more than welcome to join in. With that said...

Why don't we pray for each other about losing the weight? I am looking at this as a battle to be waged and what better way to wage it but with God's promise to us.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil 4:13

We have so many hedges to jump in this new adventure we decided to begin and there are moments when we are going to need that little extra Divine support including the prayers from our sisters and brothers in Christ.

"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." 2 Corinthians 12:10

And what better way to beat this but call on His promises to us and remember who we are and that we can do anything.

"You are of God, children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4

So may I suggest that we start to pray away these pounds? we can have requests voiced and praises to celebrate.

Again, I am by no means trying to exclude anyone who is not a believer. I noticed on the Dante post that there are some of us who are believers and prayer is very important to our faith. God hears everyone of us and He answers every one of our prayers. Granted it could be a no, yes, or maybe but He does answer tham.

I was raised Baptist and am slowly finding my way into Catholicism (will be converting shortly).

Hey Karrie! I don't know why its taken me thihs long to reply. Count me in! I'm Presbyterian now, but wasn't raised anything as a child. Funny thing is...my entire family (mom, dad, brothers) has converted to Catholicism! Anyway, I know this will help all of us!
