I'm so glad the board is in a more positive place right now.

Ive posted other reasons for this question in the past. right at this momment my main motivator is to help reduce the pain im in from bulging discs, and sciatica . plus i plan on going horseback riding in seqouia national forest(sp). insurance rules state you can't exceed a certain weight to ride, and i dont want my kids to miss out on horseback riding because mommy is too fat to ride with them. I would also like to not have to wear long sleeve shirts and long pants in the middle of a heat wave this summer.

My biggest motivator, right this minute? It's just that it feels good to be alive, much more alive than I did a year ago at this time when I was heavier. I was just thinking this weekend, **what a difference a year makes** and I enjoy it ever so much ***MORE*** now. I think that's probably the strongest motivator there is: the joy of feeling alive

Gosh, what an important post this is for me. I really needed to read the answers you all gave and it helps to remind me where I'm going with this. I've been kind of drifting along and not giving 100% and have had an awful hard time "buckling down". It is these kind of messages that act as a compass for me and help me through my "unmotivated state".

Part of my motivation is looking in the mirror and seeing what is there. This is not what I want to look like. I can look in the mirror and visualize what will be there if I work hard. Bragging rights are also motivating, lol... as well as the shame of having to "eat" those words when I gain something back.
