Dear Relydria, I am sorry you hate your hair. Take it from an old lady who has to color her hair to cover the gray some of it will wash out. So hopefully it will be much lighter. If not there's always Miss Clariol. I hope tomarrow is better. By the way what did dbf think? Hugs, Brenda

Oh Rely...that sucks! Do you think you could go back and tell her that after you got home you decided it wasn't blond enough?? I mean, don't tell her you hate it, just say you thought it would have more blond.

Working in a spa/salon I've learned not to be offended if someone doesn't like their service...and if a hair stylist gets snitty about a customer being unhappy then they need to find a new line of work...lol.

If you're so unhappy that you're crying then you *gotta* do something.

And it's okay to be picky with your hair...I mean, it's part of who you are so it should look awesome.

Sarah (ps...I got mine done today and I love it! I got deep red underneath and honey blond highlights with the deep red as lowlights on top...along with my natural red. And I love the cut...she parted it to the opposite side (I like to experiment...lol)...trimmed about 2" off and flat ironed it so it's nice and smooth...woo hoo! I'm a hottie!)

Ya know, this is why I have only had my hair streaked once and never colored.

I never, not ever, color my hair. But if you don't like the way yours turned out, then you can certainly have it changed again. It's only hair. Not to worry about it. Have a good weekend.

You make it sound like coloring your hair is a naughty or no-no.....Get over yourself already!

Voxpopulli, it sounds like you want to argue today. I don't. Take care.

What the heck is your point? So you don't colour your hair. Neither do I. What does that have to do with her not being happy about how hers turned out? Your emphasis on "Never, Not ever!" sounds like some sort of condemnation, but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what could possibly be "bad" about colouring hair???????

Yeah, I have no experience on this either as I have never colored mine (with the exception of a little Sun-In in the summer).

I would definitely call the salon. You don't have to go back to the same girl, just tell the receptionist you weren't happy w/your hair and can someone fix it. I've had to do it regarding cuts, and they are always happy to help. I'm a chicken about it, but I figure I've paid enough $$$$ that I should say something.

You DO NOT have to live with that hair color!

Call the salon, ask to speak to the manager, and explain that you took a friend's recommendation, that you're VERY unhappy with the results, and that you'd like them to fix it. It really shouldn't be that hard to do--they will just even out the highlights, and maybe tone down the brown.

I color my hair regularly, and have been really lucky to find a salon I like. But last winter I went to another salon and wanted to get highlights. I brought in a picture of myself and told her that I wanted my hair like that. Did she listen? Noooo. She took my brown hair (w/blonde highlights) to mostly blonde. I think she triple processed my hair--SO unnecessary! It seriously damaged my hair--wisps around my bangs were green, the hair was so sticky it was impossible to comb, blah blah blah. And it cost me $80 before the tip! Grr. I have decided to stick with my regular salon (even though they're 310 miles away!) because they actually listen to me! (Actually, for those of you on I'm Fat, you can see my blonde hair from last March compared to my hair in practically every other picture! LOL.)

Anyway, give them a call, good luck, and let us know what happens.
