Atkins Induction Phase Questions

To those who do or have done Atkins -

During the induction phase, can you use like salad cubes (pickles) in your tuna or deviled eggs? Is this allowed?

What about the carb solutions bbq sauce or peanut butter?

Caffaine in colas?

And any suggestions about food prep or items that helped you through the 2 weeks - things that helped you not get "bored" with the same old foods!

Thanks everyone

Head on over to the ivillage Atkins board - the gals over there are fantastic and full of great advice.

by the way ---- dill pickles are okay (sweet pickles are a no no)

no peanut butter on induction

avoid caffiene when possible

there are too many foods to ever get board on this plan!

You can have the pickles........but unfortunately you should avoid everything else (I know it's a bummer, but it's just two weeks right?).

one tiny suggestion that saved my sweet tooth :-) I LOVE cheesecake, and I found a way to "fake" it that even my daughter said tasted okay - 2 tsps of cream cheese (1.6 carbs), i packet of Splenda (1 carb) and a wee bit of cocoa or vanilla (less than 1 carb) and blend it together really well. It isn't a big serving, but it is rich enough to feel like dessert!

Oh my gosh, I'd forgotten about that.
