Yep- started watching it when I was 15 and I swear I've seen every episode either on it's first run or in rerun heaven. My SIL and I briefly entertained the idea of not watching the finale and pretending like the show was "on a break" from now til eternity, but we couldn't help it. Rob kept shushing me as I attempted to send Ross subliminal thoughts to go to Paris. There are museums in Paris? SCrew tenure! ;-) I was happy Rachel stayed, though. Loved the rest of it. :-)
I was so happy that she got off the plane. But ya'll as much as I LOVE friends and have watched it from the beginning, I am old enough to remember MASH's end and well that is still the best ending.
I am glad it ended on the same tenor as it was. I will miss them.
Did I miss something??? I haven't watched the last few episodes, but what happened to Rachels baby? Was she getting on the plane with out her or what was the deal?
MASH was good, but sad. To this day I still remember the lady accidently killing her baby. My favorite will always be Seinfeld.
Rachel did not go to Paris for the job with LV. Ross told her at the airport that he loved her and she got on the plane. The got off and came back to his place and told him she loved him. Monica and Chandler have twin adopted babies a boy...Jack and a girl...Erica.
Rach left Emma with her mom so she could set everything up.
Ok it makes sense now. I watched the show, but didn't know what happened to Emma. It always bugs me that people have babies on shows and then they vanish. Soaps are the worst. They have a baby, they hire a nanny, and then 5 yrs later it is a teen.
Okay, but can I tell you what really TICKED me off? LOL I can't believe this whole Rachel/Paris story line has not dealt with Emma at ALL. Other than a passing reference about her mother bringing the baby later - there was NO indicationt that Rachel was agonizing over whether or not to separate the baby from her father, and even though Ross was all worked up about Rachel moving away, he didn't say ONE WORD about being separated from his daughter from much of the year. WHAT THE HECK??? It's like they wrote the baby into the plot, but just forget about her whenever she is inconvenient - shouldn't that have been a MAJOR part of the plot line in Rachel's decision to move? And on another note - going to Paris was something that Rachel badly wanted...even Ross recognized that and encouraged her to go...so will she end up regretting and resenting staying behind now?
Funny you should mention that, because I've been saying that a lot this week :-) MASH is my all time favourite show, but of course it did have to have a much more dramatic ending because it was the end of the war - the culmination of everything the show had been building toward all those years. I hesitate to even stick MASH in the "comedy" genre, because it became much more of a drama toward the end. LOL - now I feel old. I was in grade 11 when it ended.

I don't watch TV, it is detrimental for the calorie burning that is the only way to lose weight.
