Hi everyone!

I can't believe I actually found my way in here to login! I'm new to 'message boards' and need all the help I can get. :) But,,,,mostly I'm excited about sharing any ideas, feelings, and what have you about weight loss, tips, diets, etc.. I'm a 5'3" 227 lb. mother of two teenage daughters who wishes and needs to lose at least 100 lbs.. Oh,,,the never ending story of my life! Last night I picked up a copy of the 'Carbohydrate Addicts Diet', and read almost half way already. Sounds like me alright!! I started this morning. If anyone has any pointers on this new way of eating I sure would welcome them!!! It feels good to be here, and I'm looking forward to meeting you all. Happy Mother's Day! Chow!!!!!

Welcome to the board,

I am 5' and my starting weight at the begining of March was 240 I am not down to 218. But more exciting then that is I have lost 20 inches! Yes, I still have a long way to go, but this has been the easiest diet I have done. I have been bad this last week. ( was away on vacation) but on this diet I know that is ok, because I have gone right back to phase1 to get rid of the cravings and then sail back into phase2. I would suggest reading the book. I got it from the library and read it before I started, it helps you to understand how certain foods effect your body.

I would not have made it this far with out this board. Come back read a lot and learn how to make this your new way of life :-) Good luck to you.

Hi and welcome. we are all doing different diets here, but I think you will find lots of support. My biggest tip is to clear your house of all foods that are not healthy. I know that is hard to do with 2 teens, but it really helps when you get one of those cravings and want to eat everything in site. I hope to "see" you around a lot and let us know what we can do to help. sharla

Welcome to the board. I really need to get that book. I have been on Atkins since 6/15/2003 and have lost 57 pounds. BUT I have been slipping and slideing for several months now and think maybe I need to change things up a little but still want to low-carb it.
