Shawna would you send a kiss to me? I could really use a disease that made me lose my appetite. LOL. Glad to hear you are doing better. Take care of yourself. Hugs, Brenda

I know that a sense of smell as a lot to do with our eating habits. So when that was gone ....so was your appetite.

Not a bad thing but ... you really can't enjoy food either! Good luck!

Eating at fast food restaurants or the mall may not sound like a very healthy choice. Even dining in the work or school cafeteria can be a problem. But it's easy to make good choices in these kinds of situations. All you have to do is plan ahead. It's easy to eat healthy foods at the mall, or on vacation, or whatever. But it was your choice not to do so, and everybody makes choices. So the point would be?????

I think her point was that she's losing her appetite.

I think her point is that it's possible to eat healthy food, not the burger and fries garbage which can kill you, even when faced with a fast food joint. She said, >>Eating at fast food restaurants or the mall may not sound like a very healthy choice. Even dining in the work or school cafeteria can be a problem. But it's easy to make good choices in these kinds of situations. All you have to do is plan ahead. It's easy to eat healthy foods at the mall, or on vacation, or whatever.<< But you chose the unhealthy route, so what was YOUR point?

There's a movie coming out soon, the end of this month I think, which might interest you. The same week it debuted at the Caine Film Festival was when McDonalds pulled it's extra value meals, or announced that these things would be pulled. It was a film documentary, and I can't think of the name of it offhand, but the guy who created it started out to eat at McDonalds every meal for one month (just the ordinary stuff) to see what it would do to his health. He's around 5'9" and weighed in at a healthy 165 and his blood work was healthy....but after just two weeks his weight ballooned up to a very fat (even for a man) 185 lbs and his lipid levels shot way up, and his doctors told him he'd have to stop eating at McDonalds because he was risking his health, having changed from a healthy man of 165 lbs to a morbidly obese man of 185 lbs with high lipid levels in his blood! Wow! And all in just two weeks. How much did you say YOU weigh, Shawna? Just curious?

I hear McDonalds has some salads now, but I personally stay away from junk food places altogether. I thought hipolytes post was clear. What part did you have trouble with?

As I do with yours, I can assure you. And there was nothing "holier than thou" about my post. It just clarified for Shawna, who asked for it, what hippolytes post said. All hippolyte said was that there are healthy food choices at McDonalds. And there's an interesting film out soon (later this month, I think) which apparently won awards at Caine Film Festival on this very topic. I'm looking forward to seeing it. As I understand, from early reviews, it started out as a documentary about what would happen to a person if he ate 3 ordinary meals at McDonalds every day for one month...just the extra value meals, not even supersize. And what happened to this adult male is he went from a healthy weight of 160-165 (one or the other) to a whooping 185 lbs, a twenty or twenty five pound weight gain, in less than a month (two weeks) and his lipid levels shot way, way up. The man went from normal weight, to morbidly obese and grossly fat at 185 lbs. They are saying, this movie is really the reason Mickie Ds pulled back it's supersize and why other junk food chains have added more "healthy choices" (relatively so, apparently) to their menu.

And thanks for your **good wishes** but I'm not going anywhere! Have a good one.
