Oh geez - guess what my DD did for Mom's

Day. She's 11, and despite theoretically *knowing* I'm on a diet, she decided to make a very fancy brunch (french toast made from croissants, etc) and then chocolate cake for dessert!!!! I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry - I obviously had a choice between breaking my diet or breaking her heart (well, a little overstated, but she would have been really hurt and disappointed) so you know which one I picked :-) Hopefully now, though, I've clarified the importance of sticking to my diet to her...and if not, my birthday isn't until December, LOL!

So lets see....lets risk breaking your daughters heart and making it a permanent sad memory for the rest of her life or eat a meal that probably wont eat set
i don't see what the big deal is. My sis made me some chocolate for mothers day and put it in a tin, i went through and just took a few pieces for home and left the rest there for them. I also had a piece of pecan pie on mothers day. I don't see a problem with occasions snacky food as logn as you do it right. I think that's why so many people lose weight then gain it back after they get to their goal weight, they get to goal so they binge on foods they didn't eat while on plan.
I'm not on a diet, i am changing how i eat and i won't go through life with no snacks. SO when i get to goal i won't feel deprived at all caus i am eating what i want.
