Hi everyone!

I am new to the board and I just wanted to introduce myself. I have had a lifelong battle with my weight, and am at the point where I really decided to do something about it. I think having a place like this to go, where other people truly understand what you're going through, is a wonderful thing. My highest weight ever was 320 pounds. It is hard to admit that. But I am, at this moment, 60 pounds lighter than when I started this journey. It is truly the toughest thing that I have ever done, but my approach has been successful for me so far. I just need the willpower and motivation to keep going! I can't wait to meet everyone here, and maybe even help out a few of you too! Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I am not any any plan specifically, but just try to eat a healthy and well balanced diet to the best of my ability. For me, this includes filling up on as many veggies as possible, eating a reasonable amount of protein, keeping my diet low in fat, and replacing as many refined carbs as possible with whole wheat and high fiber alternatives. I also endeavor to exercise about 5 times per week. (I don't *always* make it) My main exercise is walking/jogging at the moment. Here was my day today, and I would love to see yours:

Breakfast: An egg white omelette with red pepper and onion. 1 apple

Lunch: 3 high fiber Wasa crackers (these are soooooo good), 2 slices of low fat ham, my special little low fat sauce (reduced fat or fat free mayo mixed with a big squirt of honey mustard, a dash of worcestershire sauce, and as many herbs as you like), brussel sprouts with a tiny little bit of butter.

Dinner: A big plate of romaine lettuce with my homemade balsamic vinaigrette (see below), about 3 oz of grilled boneless skinless chicken marinated in fat free italian dressing, red and yellow and orange (!! I love summer) tomato salad with balsamic V (balsamic vinegar, squirt of honey mustard, teaspoon of honey, olive oil to taste...I try to keep it below 1 tbsp even though this is for 4-5 people and olive oil is a "good" monounsaturated fat)

Dessert: Apple

This evening I powerwalked 40 minutes...up some darn steep hills too, i might add!

There...now I feel accountable for everything i did today! That feels good.
