Elliptical trainer question

I've been working out on the elliptical trainer in the evenings lately and for some reason when I do my feet feel like they are almost falling asleep. Not like totally pins and needles asleep, but right on the verge. It is mostly around my toes, especially my little toe, and the outside edge of my foot. Anyone have any ideas what could cause that?? I don't want to stop using the elliptical, but it is kinda annoying.

that's so weird caus my feet have been getting tingly while i am on it.I do the cross-trainer and/or cross-ramp at the Y 2-3 days a week and have started taking walks in addition on those days so i just figure i'm using my feet a lot and they're feeling it...lol

I have no idea...My first guess would be to make sure that your shoes fit well and that you're not tying the laces so tight that you're cutting circulation...I think the next thing I'd try is to shift the position of your foot on the pedals as you're going so that you're not placing all your weight exactly the same through the whole workout.

I don't know, though. I like the eliptical trainers, I miss them from when I went to a gym!

the elliptical at my gym has little raised edges on the foot rest, I suppose to keep your foot centred. Sometimes my foot hangs over the edge anyways and it gets a bit numb. Also try moving your toes and being more aware of them as you are exercising. Maybe they are numb from keeping them absolutely still.
