As I read all the responses about your thoughts about quitting WW, I realized how scary a decision like this really is. It's been a part of your life for so long, it's like a security blanket.

There is the sucesses you've had, fear of failure, bad memories, self esteem issues, trusting oneself...

You are a smart, attractive young woman who already has all the tools she needs to fly alone. You have our support here and wherever else you can find it. dana had a really good idea about weaning yourself off of WW and that sounds like a plan. Use the mone y to treat yourself (like a new CD every month).

I think you know what decision you will make and I offer my support to you online (here or personal email) and I am confident that you will do well.

Best of luck and Hugs,

Amy

Shawna,

I also wanted to let you know that I have full confidence that you will make the right decision for you. If you decide to leave WW (which I think you said that you did already), I am confident that you are going to succeed and reach your goal on your own. I agree with the other posters who said that you should have a red flag in case you start gaining again. I think that's a good idea.

Just know that we will support you in all your efforts to reach your goals, no matter how you decide to go about it. We're here for you, Shawna!!!!!!

Amy, sorry to butt in on your post to Shawna, but the other thread was getting out of hand and I wanted to avoid it. Some people are so rude! I did want to let her know how I feel, though.

That's okay, Linda! I had to start a new post because it was getting totally out of hand... I wanted Shawna to see it and not have it get lost in the shuffle. Butt in all you'd like ! I just wanted a POSITIVE message out there, without the rudeness, bickering and so forth.
