Anyone seen it yet? I have, and even tried the pork chops which were excellent. But on the second, when he added velvetta to the mac and cheese....I had to think, what is this guy doing.

Low-carbing is not fad dieting. It is an acceptable way of eating that helps many, many people lose weight, myself included, and in some cases it's an approach that works when others would not, and have not, and perhaps even could not.

No one is bashing your approach to losing weight, please don't belittle what is working for other people.

Melody,

Well, not everyone would agree with you. And rather than go around that merrygoround with you...again...let me just refer you to the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Dietetics Association. All those ***associations*** label the low carb diet "craze" both a "diet fad," and a "diet craze." So I'll just leave it at that. It's my opinion, and you have yours. So whatever you want to think of it, just think it. And I'll think what I think. What I know from the recipes provided on "Low Carb and Lovin it" is that that guy uses enough saturated fat to clog anybody's arteries. So let's hope the fad dies out before the dieters low carbing it all do. And that's my humble opinion on the subject. Have yourself a nice day.

Even if I didn't think spending $40 a month on cable was a waste of money, I still wouldn't watch those silly cooking shows. I prefer to spend my time doing other, far more worthwhile things, like studying, working, reading a good book, visiting with friends, or actually getting some exercise. But to each her own, I guess.

No, not everyone would agree with me. But I can think of a LOT of people who disagree with you, too. But most people have the manners not to bash another person's way of life.

Did you see my second paragraph? let me reiterate. "No one is bashing your approach to losing weight, please don't belittle what is working for other people."

Thanks.

Oh, and I don't think that one television show is indicative of how the majority of low-carbers eat. I personally do NOT eat a lot of saturated fat, and I know a few other low carbers on this board who don't either.

I agree that we have to disagree because you seem to have no intention of listening to anyone on this board except Forte, but you have not taken into consideration any medical condition that carbohydrates aggravate, such as insulin resistance. I'll take my dr's MD certification over your humble opinion. And you have yourself a nice day too.

But you're mistaken, astri. forte actually **supports** a low carb diet. Just the other day she posted this:

And lest she go and change her post (**not** that I'm saying she *would*, mind you), here is her post:

Why don't you stop trying to tell low carbers how terrible their diets are and let them "die off" what's it to you?
