Tell your son about Phuket, Thailand. Someone may have already posted this, but i had to tell you.

Aren't children wonderful ? And have the BEST sense of timing ?

Oh, to be a fly on the wall for that scene!

Imaging giving directions to this man like , Hey, Phuc...you need to ...

How awful does that sound?

I was fascinated by the Picabo rumour, so I investigated. I was wondering what the heck they called her for the first three or so years of her life, if they were waiting for her to pick her own name! LOL What I found out from her online biography is that her parents named her Picabo after a small village in Idaho (WHY, I'm not sure), but when she was four they let her have the opportunity to change her name if she wanted to - she declined :-)

okay, MOST of those are crazy - but I see nothing wrong with eithre Hawk or Raven having known a couple of each. Actually, I almost named my daughter Raven (but then changed my mind after I had a student named Raven - I could never give my kids the same name as anyone I'd taught, so that really narrows it down!), and if I'd had a boy he would have been Kieran Hawk. I guess "weird" is in the eye of the beholder ;-)

No, don't get me wrong - I love the names Hawk and Raven - individually.

Found more genealogy resources last night, and came up with another of my ancestors with a goofy name... Freelove Satterley, married and became Freelove Packer. I just think it sounds weird! She's my 6th gr grandmother. Her parents had at least 11 children, and she was one of the last, so maybe they were running out of names. ;-)

And a 9th great aunt named Ann Pudeater. Her 1st married name was Greenslade- should have stuck with that, baby! She was executed at Salem.
