PLEASE Don't give up!!!! Maybe taking things a little slower will help? Instead of going full force into a new diet, and then getting frustrated and giving up, maybe you could just try and change one or two things at a time. Choose something that you know you can stick with, maybe like eating more vegetables, drinking more water, or taking a 10 minute walk each day. Keep doing that, and then slowly add more things, like cutting back on sugar or fried foods, or increase your walks to 15 minutes per day. Changing one or two things at a time will give you a chance to get used to the new habits that you are developing. It might also keep you motivated. This is what I've been doing since the beginning of the year and I've lost 24 pounds since then. It might not be a ton of weight(no pun intended!) but it is 24 pounds less than I was in January. Just be patient and don't expect the weight to come off all at once. I know you can do it! And if you think that nobody cares, just remember, we do!

Yes, we care! I know the feeling, but don't give up. Like they say for smokers...don't quit quitting. I've been fat for so long, that sometimes it just seems easier to give up. But I know there is more to life than what I am experiencing, and it is my weight that is stopping me. So I'm going to keep trying. I think part of it is finding the key for you individually. Some people do great with Weight Watchers, some just count calories and/or fat grams, some, like me, want a more structured plan. I like the suggestion of just trying to change a couple of things, like drinking more water. Even if you don't immediately see a change, you will be making your body healthier.

Take care!

We care, but you also have to care yourself.

until you start caring about yourself you won't see the people who care about you. No one can make you lose weight it's on you to do yourself but there's boards(like this one) and groups that you can go to/talk to that can help with the journey but you have to find the will to do it yourself. You can do it, there's plently of people on this board who are losing, it may be slow but it will happen. you may also want to go to the dr and see what they have to say. Maybe some pointers or anti-depressant pills. Good luck

>>why doesnt anyone care?<<

Wrong focus. It's not the "anyone" who is important here. The important thing, is that *you* care, and that *you* take the steps that you need to to lose the weight (if you want to). Look at it this way, next year at this time you can be the same weight (or heavier, even) or you can start making changes now and next year at this time you'll have it all under control. But it's entirely up to *you,* not up to "anyone" else.

Good luck,

"Lost" is a state of mind. Why do that to yourself? If you want to lose weight, start taking some steps in that direction, and then just keep it up and you will. No one can do it for you, so why even go there and worry "why doesn't anyone care?" It's a non-issue. Take care of "yourself."
