Well, I'd been out of work for 21 months, and three months ago was DESPERATELY trying to find a summer job. I accepted a part time position through the university, and then found another part-time job with a sole practitioner here in town. All is good...

Until last week, when I accepted a THIRD job, and the one that looks like it might just be my (a) bread and butter for the summer and (b) the death of me! I have put in a 40+ hour week already, and I haven't done anything with the university. Guess what I'll be doing Friday and Saturday? I'm absolutely exhausted! On the plus side, the money is nice, given my pauper-like lifestyle, but wow...I'd forgotten what it's like to work full time! LOL.

In other news, my grandfather passed away on Monday. Even though I wasn't at all close to him (hadn't seen or talked to him in 12 years), I'm sad, and wish I could have gone to the funeral. But it would have required two days of driving one way, or a plane trip + rental car, none of which I can afford. My mom's pretty upset...she's been having a rough time with things lately, and I wish I could see her.

So anyway, I'm going to fix some dinner and then head to the gym (I've been so exhausted lately I just couldn't muster the energy to go after work). Hope you all are doing well!

Jess, I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather! I know it's hard even if you haven't seen him for a while. And I'm sorry you couldn't make it to the funeral :(

On the plus side, congratulations on your jobs! Just don't work too hard lol! Get some rest, girl :-)
