I'm not sure where you live or how expensive fruit is for your area...but at my sister in law's baby shower, I made fruit kabob's.

lol- sorry about all the ???s but it helps with the suggestions if you know this stuff....
Oh Mel my mexicana sister I knew you would know how to do bean dip.. The second one looks much easier tho heheheheh you know me im all for simplicity…
We went and did a little bit of shopping last night so far we are having
The smokies…
Bean dip
Sandwiches
Chips and regular dip
Cheese roll w/ Keebler Townhouses
Veggie tray w/ dip (I think I might tray that garden dip)
Pinwheels…
I think that’s it so far…
Its going to be at 2 so we really don’t need to do a full lunch/dinner menu
The theme is girly stuff… pinks purples ect… I designed her invites and we will use that for the cake also…
We have a few games planned and we would be happy if everyone pulled up ate and left lol hehehehhehe Kidding! But im not expecting it to last more then 2-3 hours tops unless some drama breaks out I do not get a long with her MIL (old hag!!) and another girl who I had to say a few things to before don’t make me catch a charge up in there!!! lol
I am not sure if we will do favors yet or not got any ideas?? Im about out of budget so it has to be cheap….
A friend of mine bought new baby socks and filled them with candies, tied with a ribbon.
I've seen small tulle circles with M&Ms tied with Ribbon with cards that say the name and date, etc (you could do the cards on your computer, and buy tulle circles and ribbon fairly cheap at wal-mart)
If someone has a polaroid, or this can be done with a reg. camera and sent out later, you can take a pic of mommy-to-be with each guest, get doubles and then give each guest a pic. If you do this with reg film you can get doubles and make a neat album for mommy-to-be.
Places that sell kids' favor bags sometimes sell mini-baby stuff, and these can be tied with ribbon onto a bottle of bubbles, or just tied with a little card on them. You can get small pkgs of bubbles, 24 in a pack, at most wal-marts less than 5 dollars, ribbon fo 33 cents and the favors wouldn't cost much.
Hope some of this stuff helps!
