Stole from another board, who stole from yet another ;o)Do you have any cute or funny quirks? What about the rest of your family?

I'll start...When I do dishes, they have to be done in a certain order.Food cannot touch other foods on my plate.Coffee from home must be black, anywhere else with cream and sugar.Socks go on before pants.

DH...His ham and cheese sandwich has to be made in a certain order. He bites his fingernails, wont use a nail clipper. He blows his nose after every meal(eewww).

DS1...Won't eat the ends of bread.Has to have his back scratched a cerain way and for a certain length of time.

DS2...Has to have all snaps and zippers snapped and zipped up.Won't wear shoes or sandals in the sand, must be barefoot.

Man yall we have some major cases of ocd in the house! You think furry will give us all some free counseling?

Okay I can not let my food touch I will often have several plates or bowls in front of my while eating dinner… I can not stand for something to be on my hands… even such things as lotion so I am suffering dry skin lol… if I put it on my legs or feet I will go wash my hands right after… I will cut my toe nails every couple

Of days because I cant stand toenails… I cant stand to be late for anything… I will often leave very early and sit there to make sure I am not late…. I had this q-tip fetish going on for a while I would q-tip my ears several times a day until one day I got a horrible ear infection my doc put me into q-tip aa meetings I had no moisture in my ear so that caused the infection… before I was pregnant I would have to have a small sip of Nyquil in order to go to bed and sleep…. My fan must be on at night even when its freezing in order for me to go to sleep

If for some reason it gets turned off or we loose power I instantly wake up… I think I better stop now lol….

Nate every time he is in the tub he has to poop…. So there’s always water everywhere because he gets in and out…. He’s ever constipated I will make him go take a bath lol…… when putting on his shoes he will pull the tips of his socks over and fold them underneath he says the crease irritate him…. (and a bunched up sock don’t?)

Frank has this problem with bodily functions… if you ever want him to leave you alone just fart or burp and he’s out of there… he gets so offended by these small infractions lol in 10 years he has never done either one in front of me…. He cant stand for his car to be dirty.. Inside or out… he washes it several times a week even in the rain…. And in between that we will wash off his rims and tires… and you will be in trouble you ever get any dirt r leave something behind in the car…

As far as music.,… I don’t play any harmonious instruments nothing with buttons keys wide openings…. But I can play the heck out of a long horn weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hahahahahahahahah

OMG, the fan thing! We do the same thing!! It all started when we were living with my family and my sister's kids would make so much noise that we would put the fan on to drown them out. Now we're so used to it that neither one of us can sleep without the fan on.

I'm the same way with the fan, but it's because I always have to have air circulating, in the car, in my office, in my bedroom.

Yep!...We have a fan TOO......White noise/air circulating thing....Lucy has a routine when she gets a treat. Bella just sits on the nest ball and eats, but Lucy bulldozes all of the bedding from cage into ONE corner, bulldozes it back, beats up Bella, has a little flip-out/rat-fit and bounces around and then eats her treat. Whenever Kyle plays guitar near the cage, Bella sits on the nest ball and crosses her front paws and closes her eyes. It's a little weird. It's SO obvious she likes it.

I can't STAND anything sticky on my hands either, or have a ragged nail. When I was a child, I would HAVE to have a bath after coming home from pre-school because I felt 'gunky'.

I wear my hair up alot because I have ALOT of it. I rarely wear it down and hardly EVER wear it down at work. Can't stand it hanging down when I type.

I can't wear necklaces, either. Drives me CRAZY.

FH:

He has to sleep with the fan on. I HATE THIS!!!!! He use to try to turn the TV on too. (I have to have dead quiet when I sleep.)

He hates shoes to be anywhere other than the floor. And he hates shoes to touch him or the furniture! Sure-fire way to make him spaz-out: Lie on the loveseat with you feet (with shoes on) dangling over the arm. Not even touching the arm! Just dangling over it!!! What a wacko!

He has to sit on the couch next to the end table. Noone else is allowed to sit there...

He is a packrat that can't throw NOTHING away. (that's ok, I have off during the week and I, umm, toss crap out.)

Me?:

Only one: I have to check the stove and make sure the back door is shut before I leave the house. Everytime.

I've already mentioned that we can't sleep without the fan on. I thought we were the only ones until now lol! DH can't sleep without a lot of covers on him. I love to sleep with the room cool and totally covered. He travels a lot so this usually isn't a problem, but when he's home, I give in and sleep with light covers. At least he keeps the bed warm so that I don't freeze! Oh, and I got so used to him traveling so much, that if I have to get up early the next morning, I can't sleep if he's in the bed (he snores) so I make him sleep in the other room if he's home when I have to work the next morning (I'm a lousy wife, I know lol!) I can sleep fine on the weekends with him there, just not during the week. I guess it has something to do with the fact that I can sleep late on the weekends so he doesn't bother me so much.

I'm always washing my hands, I can't stand the thought of germs on them. When I'm cooking, I'll wash my hands about 5 times before I'm done. I hate water on my face. The first thing I do when I get out of the shower or out of a pool is dry my face. I really hate to sweat because again, I can't stand the moisture on my face.

My DH has to wash his own shirts because I don't do them right. They have to hang on the hanger just right, and I guess I don't do it the way he likes it. That's ok, though, because he usually ends up doing all the laundry anyways. His side of the closet is really organized, with all his shirts hanging together, his pants together and his jackets together. My side is all willy-nilly. I hang them wherever I find room (he's the neat one, not me lol!). We can't watch TV together because we have such different tastes in TV and he'll start to make comments about whatever I'm watching and drive me crazy.

My MIL: I could write a book about her! She can't stand to have the kitchen sink wet, so she'll wash her dishes in the bathroom sink instead. One time she wrote my DH a check, and when she got the canceled check back, she yelled at him for folding the check. She can't stand to have a crease in her canceled checks! Now that's just weird. She puts any food garbage that she has in the freezer until trash day (so it won't smell), so there's always a bag of garbage in her freezer. My DH now does that one, too so we now have a bag of garbage in our freezer also.

My DH's aunts sent some presents over to my MIL for Christmas. She already knew what they were so she said we could open them for her. When we opened them, there was toilet paper, laundry detergent and fabric softener. I was like "what the &$*#? Apparently they give each other toilet paper and laundry detergent every year. Nice presents, huh? I know, I married into a really strange family.

I'm sure I could come up with some more if I think about it. I'll post more if I do.
