Hey, everyone! Just a pop in to say hi

Hey, everyone! I'm just popping in to say hello! I'm about one week away from finishing my consolidation, finally! And then I'll be an RPN! Well, not officially until after September 15th when I write my registration exam, but after that I'll FINALLY be finished! I'm very excited, but also a little nervous about deciding where I'm going to live, and where I'm going to work! The good thing is that I've got lots of options! I could apply for a temporary license, but it will take some research to find places that hire with a temp license. I also have to finish my resume, which I am almost done doing. I hear a lot of nursing homes are begging for nurses right now, but the down side of that is that most of the time all you do as an RPN in a nursing home is push the med cart around and give out meds to sometimes more than 60 residents! I don't like that idea too much, but I guess I have to start somewhere! If I get a job in a hospital, I'll be able to practice my skills more, and learn more at the same time. I don't know, I'll put out some resumes and see.

I'm also excited about going to Calgary with my boyfriend!! We're leaving July 9th and we'll be there for a week! I've never been anywhere before, and Calgary is beautiful, so it's going to be awesome! The Calgary Stampede will be going on then, too, so that will be exciting. We also might make a trip to Edmonton, which is about a 4 hour drive from Calgary. I've got an aunt and uncle there, and we'd love to go see the West Edmonton mall, too!! We will definately take lots of pictures that I'll post.

One thing I'm a little disappointed about is that I'm not really as close to my goal weight as I was hoping I'd be by now. I wanted to expand my wardrobe a lot while I was in Calgary, because the taxes are a lot cheaper out there as opposed to Ontario. Also, I wanted to be able to look awesome in a bathing suit...but I don't think I'll be as confident as I was hoping I'd be by then. My weight has been at a standstill for a couple months now. I admit that I haven't been trying as hard as I was from the beginning, and it's discouraging that I'm not seeing the weight come off as fast as I did in the beginning. I am trying to get myself on a regular exercise routine, since that will help a lot, and I need to do some toning. Also, my older sister and my twin sister have both begun doing Atkins in the last month, and they are seeing some great results so far!! That motivates me, especially because I was the one who started Atkins first, and I'm a "role model" for them, so I feel that I should stay on track and be a good example! It feels great that they are following in my footsteps, especially since both of them were skeptical in the beginning that Atkins was a safe way to lose weight!

Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to find more time in the next few weeks to visit here and post more often! I hope everyone else is doing alright with their weight loss!!!!

Sabrina, it sounds like things are coming together for you, congratulations! I know you have a lot of decisions ahead of you, but I'm sure you'll make the right ones. And have a great time on your trip!! It sounds like a lot of fun :-)
