Dixon, Illinois-AP -- Ronald Reagan is being remembered in his childhood hometown of Dixon, Illinois.
A local minister remembered the 40th president as a man who reached the pinnacle of power -- but never lost his "small-town roots."
The Reverend Bob Jones says Reagan made a positive difference in the world, but more importantly, taught everybody else they could also make a difference.
At a church where Reagan was baptized at age eleven, more than 100 people jammed into the pews to hear speakers including U-S House Speaker Dennis Hastert. About 400 people packed another church to watch the proceedings on closed-circuit T-V.
Reagan moved to Dixon when he was nine and graduated from high school there. He also spent the summers as a lifeguard.
