weekend already, what are your plans? Hope ya all have a great weekend!
After a week of great weather spending it swimming and laying out, today and this weekend will be rainy so will be staying home cleaning up since i haven't all week..lol..and doing some visiting, then taking care of my mom's animals since she's leaving for the weekend.

I figure the kids can play DDR on the PS2 and tire themselves out. If the weather DOES shape up, we have a net to set up for badminton and volleyball. Can't wait! Only a little over 21 more hours to go! :-)

The main thing for us is going to be the big Fiesta we will do tommorrow. The daughter wanted a Mexican style party, so I am bring up the stuff and we will do tamales, home made corn tortillas, and the rest is a menu full of flavor and fat. It will be traditionally made food. Even the hot drinks at night and beverages tommorrow will be my grandfathers recipes, which I love to do. My Grandma is 82 yrs old. Some time ago, I figured it be good to learn what our family recipes were, before she depart or something, so I started to learn to cook from her.....turned out to be great idea, since at her age she has lost some of her taste buds, or maybe vigor to cook (after raising 8 kids and some of us grandkids)and her food is not so good. She loves my cooking because it reminds her of her mom, who taught her to cook.
This is wonderful and refreshing. Also, we go to church every weekend, and are pretty tied into it, as I am a Leader and my son a Drummer. So this weekend, at least until the Sun evening service, will be no work, (like my job work), and rest. Yahooooo!!
I can smell the tamales steaming past the Ibarra (Mexican Hot chocolate w/ spices)
Anybody want some? Blessings, D2
