Furry's coming to visit me! She and her kids will get here tomorrow evening so we'll be having dinner (Rob's doing the cooking, feel free to gush so he'll do it again sometime) and hanging out. If the weather holds out we're hoping to have a picnic in the park by the statue of Chief Blackhawk in Oregon, IL. on Saturday, and we'll be visiting the Reagan memorial etc time-permitting. Mostly, we're just gonna relax, hang out, and have fun. We are planning to teach Rob to play Canasta. Wish us luck. The boys are camping out in Ramey's room and I am hoping Rina doesn't irritate Furry's daughter TOO much with her hero-worship of all older girls. LOL!

I figure the kids can play DDR on the PS2 and tire themselves out. If the weather DOES shape up, we have a net to set up for badminton and volleyball. Can't wait! Only a little over 21 more hours to go! :-)

My weekend plans are to stay away from my home for a bit, lol. My neighbors are having a party and it will probably get loud(also, after inviting us over, they are now avoiding me)...so Sat.morning I'll help my sister with her garage sale(kinda hoping I can sell a few things too and then hit the other garage sales in the area for a hamster cage). Then if it's not raining, maybe the kids and I will go to the park,or better yet...maybe I can talk hubby into getting off his arse and going to the park with us.After that, who knows.

My Grandma and one of my sisters are here from Albuquerque. So, we are going to my brother's house in the Wine Country to hang out. His daughter (who is like the little girl on the Adam's family-oh, my neice) graduated and so this is a party kinda for her. All of us in the area will hang out there, spend the night in their huge house and visit. They have a pool which I really hope is being heated while we speak, and billiards, enough rooms and area to be with someone or alone, so that is all good.

The main thing for us is going to be the big Fiesta we will do tommorrow. The daughter wanted a Mexican style party, so I am bring up the stuff and we will do tamales, home made corn tortillas, and the rest is a menu full of flavor and fat. It will be traditionally made food. Even the hot drinks at night and beverages tommorrow will be my grandfathers recipes, which I love to do. My Grandma is 82 yrs old. Some time ago, I figured it be good to learn what our family recipes were, before she depart or something, so I started to learn to cook from her.....turned out to be great idea, since at her age she has lost some of her taste buds, or maybe vigor to cook (after raising 8 kids and some of us grandkids)and her food is not so good. She loves my cooking because it reminds her of her mom, who taught her to cook.

This is wonderful and refreshing. Also, we go to church every weekend, and are pretty tied into it, as I am a Leader and my son a Drummer. So this weekend, at least until the Sun evening service, will be no work, (like my job work), and rest. Yahooooo!!

I can smell the tamales steaming past the Ibarra (Mexican Hot chocolate w/ spices)

Anybody want some? Blessings, D2

Mmmmmmm...that sounds good! Can I come lol? I'm not sure what we're doing yet. The weather is supposed to be nice, so maybe we'll go for a drive or something. I'll just be happy to spend time with my DH since he's been traveling so much lately. He's coming home tonight and I can't wait!
