YAY! Being from Michigan myself, I gotta say WOOOOO HOOOOO! I was really excited and impressed too, especially after the Red Wings' last season. And let's not get into baseball or football.....sigh

Well, being from Boston, the Red Sox break my heart EVERY year! But one of these years they're gonna do it. I just hope it's in my lifetime lol! But at least we can celebrate the Patriots winning the Superbowl! So I know how awesome it feels for you Piston fans. Go celebrate and have a good time!

When I was a kid my favorite baseball team (besides the Tigers, I am nothing if not loyal) was the Red Sox because I liked their uniforms, and I LOVED Wade Boggs. He switched teams a few years after I started splitting my interests between sports cards and comic books/Marvel cards (yeah, my best friend and I were OBSESSED with Marvel universe.....and, um, well, still kinda are depending on the day) and I was so sad that he wasn't with the Sox anymore. Our minor league team in Battle Creek was originally affiliated with the Red Sox, too.

Rob is die-hard Chicago all the way- Cubs AND White Sox- he doesn't care as long as it's a Chicago team(he likes one better than the other, but I can't remember which), Bulls, Bears, and ESPECIALLY the blackhawks, arch nemesis of my beloved Red Wings. I gotta almost respect them as part of the original 6, but I don't have to like them!

So you don't have to live in Boston to feel the pain of the Red Sox! I still remember the first time they broke my heart. It was the '75 world series (yes, I'm old enough to remember that!) and I was 10 years old. I knew all the players numbers and stats (I have a couple of older brothers who taught me everything I know about baseball). When they lost the 7th game, I cried! And I've been crying ever since lol!

If Rob is a Cubs fan, then he knows the pain. I was hoping so bad that we'd have a Red Sox/Cubs world series last year. But I guess the curse got both teams! Maybe this year...

lol- Nope, I don't know the pain of living near the Sox and watching them flounder, but I can relate. Lions and Tigers have been letting me down for a while now :-(

I guess I'd just be happy if the Tigers would win a few- I don't want a series per se, just a few wins!

I'm not much of a sports fan. Pistons? Is that Detroit? What game? Sorry for such a question, but as I said....I'm not much of a sports fan.
