in wine when it's used for cooking (there was a thread on that here), for anyone interested Lynn posted her link on that board, and some folks there found the question interesting, at least. Kinja, if you still want to know, you might check there. Still nothing definitive though. And I think it's safe to say, when cooking with wine count the calories in the wine as part of your finished product.

Forte,

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to read it. Oh the quiet is wonderful, isn't it. Sounds like you have a good weekend planned. Enjoy it.

Quiet? Were you referring to the board? I thought it's been a lot busier in the past couple days! (I guess I don't get out much!)

Glad to see you back, Faith! We missed you! As far as I know, i may be the only barking shark left - I posted this to someone who needed further clarification on my sharkyness -

>>Thanks Lori..as far as a picture of a shark barking, here are other descriptors of 'me'...

I am a sthark with a listhp.

I look like like a cross between Bruce the great white from 'Finding Nemo' and a stuffed animal-type shark and act like a Labrador retriever.

I have a snaggletooth.

I fart/blow bubbles when mad.

My bark actually sounds like the word 'bark'.

My snout pulls up and wrinkles a bit when I sniff at something.(insert sniffing sound)

It is painfully obvious I have too much time to myself...

Getting the visual? Hope yor sunburn gets better...Nothing like burning parts that were never meant to see sun...Yeow!

Hi Forte!

Well, there we have it! One cup of wine, cooked for an hour, would add approx. 55 calories to the recipe. Thanks ever so. Here's the link (same thread you mentioned): http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-fbask&msg=9785.8

Hope your weekend was good. When I read your post about steak and watermelon it gave me ideas, and for lunch today we're headed to the lake with our little portable grill and a filet mignon and icy cold watermelon of our own! A long lazy afternoon, no work involved!!!!!
