I made a decision

Ladies,

I've decided to go see the doctor around the last of July for the consultation, because that is the earliest they can get me in. In the mean time, I'm going to try the weight watchers diet again. The last time I did that it was when I was a freshman in high school. That's been a few years now.

I figured that if I try something again, combined with my thyroid medicine, I should be a little better. Hopefully. Anyways, I just wanted to let everyone know. One more question: Is Curves a good work out place to go? We've had one in town for a few months and I kept meaning to go and check it out, but i've never got there.

Good plan, Becca. I don't know anything about Curves other than what I've seen in ads. I think there are a couple of board members who're working out there, but I can't remember exactly who they are. I'm sure they'll pipe in when they see your post.

You take care and keep posting!

Good for you. I've been a curves member for a while now ( as has my skinny mom and her best friend) and go only sporadically. Invariably when I attend, I always feel better. By the end of the workout I think - that wasn't so bad, why don't I come every week? The women only approach is great, as is the fact that all the elements of choice are removed. The circuit and other women move you around almost so that it's less a chore and just a routine. At the gym I could never decide what to do next or which machine I needed most or knew how to use etc. This takes all the wishy-washy stuff out. You get personal orientation to each piece of equipment and there's always someone there to ask.

My mom and her friend go M-W-F every week and it's strengthened her bones and given her muscular strength that she's never had before. I'd suggest calling them for a visit!

Hi Becca,

It sounds like you've made a couple of good decisions. There are a few members here doing Weight Watchers who've had a lot of success with it. I've also heard good things about Curves and have considered joining myself. Good luck and keep us posted! Oh, and good luck with your consultation next month, also :)
