I am new to this website/board but when I saw your post I was so happy. I don't know anything about you going back to school, but congratulations!
I recently earned my associates in science (as) and also my associates in arts (aa) and I am so happy.
I started back to school a long time after I graduated from high school and just completed my pre-reqs for the nursing program and am waiting to see if I get in or not. Keeping my fingers crossed though.
You may want to review some of math books and maybe some English writing skills before your test. I was too lazy and ended up placing in a low level of English and spent a semester in a lame class - but I did learn somethings so I guess it was not a complete waste.
Good luck on your assesment testing. Also, I dont know if you are going to a community college, but it sounds like you may need/want financial aide. See if your college has a "BOGW" (board of governers waiver). Where I live (in Southern CA) if you qualify for that, you get all of your units for only $10 (typically they are $18 PER UNIT) and you get a discount (50%) on parking. I qualified (since I dont work)and was able to take 10 units, pay for parking (normally $40) and health and student service fees for only $30! Normally it would have been over $230.

How did it go Mel?
Sorry I didn't get to this sooner- I'm helping Billie move this week, and I've been painting her new place with her.
I couldn't sleep well the night before my test, and I was really nervous about taking it.
