Hey ya'll! I'm new to the board. I have a little over 100 lbs to loose. I have a brand new beach cruiser bicycle and I also have The Firm Body Sculpting System, it's a little too hard for me still. I plan to loose all this weight by December 2005 which is my 23 birthday. I am a medical assisting/ nursing student and I know this weight is unhealthy. I also have an almost 3 year old who needs a healthy mom. I hope ya'll will have some tips and ideas I ready and willing to go.

Welcome, Sam! I'm glad you joined us :) I have the Firm tapes also, and yes, they are challenging! I started off slowly, just doing about 5 or 10 minutes. Sometimes just learning the steps was hard enough! Take your time with it, and I think you'll enjoy them. I can do some of the tapes all the way through now, but I still follow the beginner moves because I'm just not at the point where I can do some of the harder moves.

December 2005 sounds like a realistic goal to me. That's still a year and a half away and you want to lose slowly so that you have a better chance of keeping it off.

welcome to the board Sam and good luck with your weight loss.

For me personally i had to change my eating habits and exercise, just exercise alone wasn't making me lose. If you like doing exercise tapes some of my faves are: Tae Bo basic,Tae boxing,Denise Austin fat burning blast. Some libraries also have exercise tapes you can rent, i would check and see if it does and try some out. I did a Firm workout and didn't like it. Everyone's different though =)
