I am going to try again. Please help if you can!I have tried to lose weight and stopped so many times.I lose weight, then gain it back!I just go back to my undisciplined way of eating, and no exercise. It is bad for my health and I know it.I am really feeling low.I am going to get on the treadmill for 10 minutes this evening.No--it's late, now.Maybe I'll get up earlier in the morning.Anyway, does anyone have anything to say to me?And how are all of you doing? If I can get some support, maybe I can do it this time. Sincerely, Chilla

Hi,

>>>does anyone have anything to say to me?And how are all of you doing?<<<

Well, let's see.....you have to find your own way in this, and I'm not suggesting that you do it *my way,* but it may be that you're *trying to hard* to make this seem like a *diet.* All I've done (and I'm being very honest about this) is, about a year or so ago, I decided to eat better and take better care of myself...and have fun doing it. Now, I don't know about you....but, for me, getting on a tread mill (even for 2 seconds) doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun! And if it's not fun, I don't do it.

Here's what I have done (and your own mileage, and preferences, may vary). I got a notebook and tracked my intake (writing down meals, calories, fat grams and cutting back). Then I made my own meals (when you cook at home YOU control the quality of your food), and I tried to make good tasting healthy meals which satisfied and had fewer calories and less fat that I had been eating beforehand. And then, every day, I packed in a little exercise that I did enjoy. For me, personally, that usually meant taking a nice walk before bedtime in pleasant surroundings (a pretty neighborhood where I live). Of course, sometimes I did other activities, and on rare occasions I did eat out....but I was conscious of what I was doing, and had both fun and nutritious living. And in the past year, I've lost a lot of weight and gotten a lot healthier.

It's just a matter of one day at a time, and I'd say....don't turn it into a *diet* (that's work)....but turn it into a new, more fun, and healthier way of living that you really WANT to do...from here on out. That's my best advice. And good luck to you.

'If I can get some support, maybe I can do it this time.'

this board is about being supportive in the weight loss journey but ya can't support someone to make them ready to lose weight. YOU have to have the mindset that YOU are going to lose this weight and then people can support you. You have to find the power in yourself to change eating/exercise habits. Everyone has lapses at one time or another but you just have to find the power in yourself to get back on track noone can do it for you.
