HI Everyone,

I am here because I am a 27 year old female that now weighs 270lbs. In October 2002 I began a diet and exercise program that was working so well for me, then in april of 2003 my relationship came to an end and so did my desire to continue my battle with my weight.

I'm finally over the end of my relationship and I am finally dealing with the aftermath....my 60 pound weight gain.

i really want to lose this weight and get back to living a healty life style, but I seem to have forgotten all of my good habits. I'm also feeling so discouraged, is there anyone out there that would like to be my partner or weight loss buddy?

I don't think I can do it alone and I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks a lot

welcome to the board and Good luck with your weight loss. The board is great for support, even though people are on different plan we have the same goal to be healthy and at our own personal goal weight. There's no weight loss buddy/partner program caus it's not needed, when someone needs support they post then members offer support. It's a give/take. So feel free to join-in in any posts

Sure, you can do it! You just have to start somewhere, and sounds like you've already done that. Just making up your mind to *take charge* is an important first step. Now for the next step (and you've probably done this too): start with your very next meal, and decide to make it a healthy one...and the next, and the next. And then start with a little exercise today, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, and every day. You'll get there! And remember, don't tie your weight loss goals to a *relationship* (any relationship). Your health is not subject to the rise and fall of those things. Your health is up to you, and you owe it to yourself to take good care. Do that, and the rest falls into place.

Hi Cutie and welcome! I hear you on the weight gain due to relationship issues...I gained 105 pounds in ten years to max out at 265 in 2000, when I was 27. My particular issue was not feeling secure and emotiponally fufilled by a series of relationships and I chose to eat instead of solve the problem. Since then, I've lopped off 108 pounds with diet changes, and I finally met someone who I am comfortable with. Not to say that this is the only reason I lost weight, and my weight IS very tied to my emotions. Sounds like youv'e taken steps to get back on track and I wish you luck!
