Well Nate and I plus a niece and nephew went to the wave pool today we had a blast!! And guess what? It didn’t POP my water! Maybe made me a little red after my sun screen wore off though….
Now I have never worn a bathing suit without something over it like a long tshirt or something but I had bought me a really cute one that has a skirt attached to it that goes far enough down to cover the top part of my thighs and I actually looked preggos in it… instead of just flab everywhere but I still had planned on keeping on my little cover-up I had bought over it but the pool wasn’t to busy and there seemed to be plenty of overweight women there in just bathing suits,,, that made me feel more comfortable… so I took off the cover-up I had never really took notice to see how many big women I ever seen in just a bathing suit one even had on a bikini! Now I wouldn’t go that far but it led me to wonder if I was actually being to self conscious in always covering up so tell me what do yall go swimming in? do you cover up?

It really depends where I'm swimming.

i've been swimming at my dad's place for the last month or so and wearing just my bathing suit, a shirt on if i got a sunburn only. When i go into the water i use my floatie to wrap around me..lol..then will lay on it in the water. I know i a freak. And when i get out of water i put towel around me/on my legs.
Next summer i plan on being comfortable with my body and how it looks so plan on just wearing a bathing suit =)
Swimming nekkid in the ocean is AWESOME, if you ever get the chance...

I used to worry about it a lot. I was a lifeguard when I was a teenager and tried to train a bit in the beginning with a t-shirt on... but then I realized right away a tshirt will get very heavy when wet...completely impractical for actually lane swimming (unless you are up for xtra resistance... not me!!)
Then last summer I was going to Italy and spent hours to find a good swimsuit that I liked that I thought I could wear in public (black v neck one piece). So we are on the beach, I think I am lookin' fine, and I start to notice... most of the women are topless, some are nude (this is a FAMILY beach!!... seventy year old topless ladies!! yikes!!) and I AM THE ONLY ONE IN A FULL BATHING SUIT!! ha ha ha. Some very concerned Italian ladies came up to ask my boyfriend if I was sick. (!!!)
but yeah... I still stick with my one piece (but now it feels like I wear oh-so-much more!)
