Well Nate and I plus a niece and nephew went to the wave pool today we had a blast!! And guess what? It didn’t POP my water! Maybe made me a little red after my sun screen wore off though….

Now I have never worn a bathing suit without something over it like a long tshirt or something but I had bought me a really cute one that has a skirt attached to it that goes far enough down to cover the top part of my thighs and I actually looked preggos in it… instead of just flab everywhere but I still had planned on keeping on my little cover-up I had bought over it but the pool wasn’t to busy and there seemed to be plenty of overweight women there in just bathing suits,,, that made me feel more comfortable… so I took off the cover-up I had never really took notice to see how many big women I ever seen in just a bathing suit one even had on a bikini! Now I wouldn’t go that far but it led me to wonder if I was actually being to self conscious in always covering up so tell me what do yall go swimming in? do you cover up?

Ladies, that is what self-tanner is for:) The new one out by loreal is excellent--a real looking tan that won't wrinkle your skin and give you cancer. Mother hen has spoken...

Me too..I love having a tan - I swear I look thinner, too. My mom has this saying, "Tan fat looks better than white fat." and I guess that just stuck with me. I stay out of the sun most of the year, but got some color before vacation this year and last year. I have started wearing SPF 30 on my face if I'm out during the day. I am fully aware of how bad too much sun is, but I have had fake tan, real tans..and am lily freakin' white right now, and all are fine....but man, I love being tan!!!

I'll have to give that a try, ksasmom. I could lay out in the sun all day and not get a tan. I would just burn, so I don't go out in the sun much. But I can't stand my white skin (and believe me, I'm about as white as they come lol). Maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks!

I wear just my swimsuit and a pair of shorts to the beach. When I get there the shorts come off. It's weird, years ago when I was around 190, I would not wear a bathing suit. To think of those two wasted summers....

Now, I really don't give a fig what strangers think of me. I have just as much right to be there as anyone else and I truly enjoy getting in the water.

Ocean City here we come July 19th!
