I was up your way yesterday. Sorry I didn't let you know ahead of time, but it was one of those spur of the moment kind of day trips. We hiked the Flume and I forgot how steep some of those hills were! But I perservered and made it through. What a wonderful hike that is. I've done it before, but it's been quite a few years since I did it. I did see one larger woman struggling to get up one of the hills. I felt so bad for her because I know exactly how she felt. I felt that way the first time I hiked the Flume and I was miserable. So hopefully she made it through ok.

After the hike we drove to the Bretton Woods area and there's a small restaurant called Mooseland Grill. Ever been there? It's not bad. I had the grilled salmon but it was kind of dry. I've eaten there before and the food is usually good, but I wouldn't recommend the salmon.

I thought of you while we were up there. I think we definitely need to plan on some time when we can get together and meet.

Oh, absolutely ! I have been waiting to do the Flume, either with you or Kyle, and I have never eaten at Mooseland, but I know where it is (when you take that right onto 302).

I was sleeping all day, as i have doing midnights, but I am now on a new roataion starting tomorrow, and I will have Fridays and saturdays off until the middle of August, thereabouts, so next time you come up on a weekend, let me know, because I'll have the time off!

I'm glad you had good weather to hike..but how were the BUGS??? I haven't done the Flume since I was a KID, so I can't imagine that I'll be too swift. But, I did run 3/4 of a mile the other night and shocked the crap out of myself (ran from McDonald's at Exit 32 all the way to Route 3/Main Steet in Woodstock).

Can't wait for you to come back!!!

Yes I am - I'm about an hour and fifteen minutes north of Manchester, in the White Mountains. We actually get down to Manchester once a month or so, for a guitar shop and the MALL!!!!! Usually we go to Concord so we can keep Border's in business...

Do anything fun in Manchester, and did you see any hookers? (We did the last time we went down!!!)

Believe it or not, the bugs weren't bad at all! We were commenting on how nice it was without bugs. And believe me, if they were out there, they would have found Jose. He attracts mosquitos like crazy!

If you ran all that way, then you would probably have no problem with all the hills. I had to stop and catch my breath a few times on the way up, but I did alright. If it was six months ago, I probably would have been dying! (Of course I wouldn't have been there six months ago because it was the middle of winter, but you know what I mean lol!) I'll let you know when we plan on going up again. Or if Jose is traveling (which he does a lot) maybe I'll just go up by myself to meet you.

Sure - whatever works best for you! Let me know, an we'll pick a place to meet ! Glad the bugs weren't bad - I was outside futzing around and they were after me. They love Kyle because he wears gel in his hair, and he has even been 'buzzed' by a hummingbird. I have had an H bird come up behind me (red scrunchy in hair)and until someone told me what it was, I was FROZEN on the spot, afraid to move lest the 400 pound bee behind me decided to get ugly (or worse, try to pollinate me!)
