Hey Lady, I saw Riverdance in NYC in 2001. WOW was all I could say afterwards. It was awesome. Great goal you have going there! Stephanie 280/225/170

"(And I have to wonder what Ms. Butler would say to find out she was saluted with a forkful of steamed broccoli?) "

Oh, I LOVE IT!!! I got the visual! LadyIrish, I think you have a great attitude and no doubt will find yourself a place in the future for step dancing lessons!

( I spent two weeks camping on Cape Breton Island - I'm a Scot - and went to lots of fiddling concerts replete with step-dancers....what a cool thing.) I have seen Riverdance on TV and I get hypnotized and start leaning towards the screen until my head thunks into it.

(But I have to say, Michael Flatley cracks me up...)

Amy, who cannot step dance because of the fins.

Yes - the Ceiligh (sp? My Gaelic is horrible!)Flatley cracks me up because he is just...I don't know...little and flashy and OH SO serious-looking when he dances..I giggle...

And men in kilts get me going. When the Highland Games/Scottish Clan Festival used to be held in Lincol at Loon Mountain, our police department would do kilts (we had own own tartan) and patrol for the weekend in them....DROOOL...............

Even though my boyfriend is Irish and Polish (here come the jokes), he looks more Scottish (not much of a stretch, but you know what I mean - Dark scruffy hair, pale green eyes, tall, has a fondness for sheep..) and I'm going to try and talk him into wearing a kilt for our wedding. We'll see how that flies!

Amy

PS -My surname, Halliday ('holy day' in Scot Gaelic) is a sept of MacLeod. We have a HIDEOUS tartan for the clan, but the hunting tartan is quite pretty.
