Hi everyone! If any of you ever visited the WW board months ago, you might remember me. I did Atkins, then WW, then nothing, then South Beach, then WW for a day, then NOTHING - and now I'm doing this 90/10 plan. As you can see, I start and stop 'diets' often. I'm praying that this time I'll get it right. Anyway, the reason I'm here is for some support and a place to talk, gripe, etc. I have 37.4 lbs to lose. I got down to 180 from 226 and now I'm back up to 197.4. I started my new plan today and I'm not going to weigh in for 2 weeks. I can't take looking at the scale and feeling disappointed every day. I know that the scale won't move daily and I think I'll do better without some number staring back at me each morning. So, I'm going at this full force and taking it slow. I'm hoping to reach my goal by the end of November. I also hate, hate, HATE to exercise but I'm going to get in at least 20 minutes a day, four days a week, on my treadmill. Ok, I'm done rambling for now....hope to chat with everyone soon.

Hi Carol! I'm with you - THIS time we can do it. There is nothing stopping us, right? :-) About the 90/10 plan.....my mom bought the book at Walgreens on sale for about $2. LOL! But, once I read through it, it seemed so much easier than other plans. They have three 'levels' - a 1200 calorie, 1400 calorie and 1600 calorie plan. For people like me who rarely exercise, the 1200 calorie plan is ideal. There are 14 days worth of meal plans in the book and, to me, they are very realistic. Every breakfast can be substituted for another, in case you dont like what is on the menu one day. The same is true for lunch, snacks and dinner. Basically 90% of the time you eat healthy. The other 10% you are allowed a certain amount of 'unhealthy' things like candy, chips, cookies, etc. It is all portion controlled. For example, today my 'fun' food is going to be 2 Little Debbie Pecan Spinwheels. If I didn't want to eat the 'fun' food, I would add a cup of rice and an orange to my dinner. Hmm- I hope this makes sense. :-) Anyway, I feel like it is easy for me to follow - there are no crazy recipes to prepare or anything like that and I really don't have to count anything at all. Some dinner examples are chicken stirfry, spinach lasagna and a turkey burger. So far, so good (easy to say on day 1, right?) and I hope it stays that way. My SO likes to go out to dinner on the weekends and it is so hard for me to stay on any plan when I'm eating out so, this time I told him that I'll be cooking and he can eat as many servings as he wants while I eat my one serving. We'll see how that works out.

Best of luck to you!!
