Lychee nuts

Have you ever tried them? It's a sweet, wonderful fruit, and if you like kiwi then you'll probably like lychees. Anyway, they are ripe American grown (California, Florida) from June-July and I found some in the store over the weekend. I just learned that 15 lychee nuts have only 100 calories, 1 gram fat, and they are exceptionally high in vitamin C. If you see them in your store, this might be a food find you'd enjoy.
Vitamin C in Fruits
Fruits with the most vitamin C, in order, are
Strawberries
Oranges
Kiwi
Lychees
Canteloupe
Mangoes
Gooseberries
Grapefruit
Raspberries
Pineapple (The American Dietetic Association, 1995)
With defference to the person who doesn't like canteloupe, oh gosh...I love all of these! Of course, I love fresh fruit generally and this is, doubtless, my favorite time of year!!!

Or durian, jackfruit, and pomelo?
I also hate honeydew, don't like watermelon, and am deathly allergic to mango.
Try to avoid pineapple because it is high on the glycemic index.
