Woo hoo! Go Shawna! I know you can get through today without any setbacks. I faced the same challenge yesterday after my dr appt, I wanted so bad to stop and get something greasy (it wasn't a good visit to the dr). But, I just kept driving. You do the same and don't let all that good Atkins-friendly food go to waste! As for me, I'm marching along. I donated blood yesterday and had to add a snack in (fruit cup) before I passed out, other than that, things are going great.

So, lets keep it up and slip right out of those 190's!

**SQUEAL!!!** Good for you, toots! NO LATTE FOR YOU!!!! Water! Diet COke w/ lemon!

I'm doing okay, with the exception of the carb freak out I had yesterday (2 teeny slices of cake and some of Kyle's home made mac n' cheese) - but we walked 3 miles when I got out of work at around midnite, played in the mini-golf frog pond cause I was Joesin' to catch a froggie (and I did - it slipped out of my hand and hit me in the chest and I screamed like a five year old girl) BUT - I had a reason for the carb freak. I KNEW something wasn't right about my body for the last day or two...tired, craving sugar...and I was walking and well, ITCHY.

Yep. Ye Olde Yeaste Infection.

THANK GOD I KEEP DIFLUCAN AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(That little pink pill is my best friend!)

Shawna, I could hug you for doing so well, and I think next grocery trip, I'M going back on Atkin's (my way, of course!)so I can blow off about ten more pounds.

* I took new pictures of myself, the day I got my hair re-highlighted (AND HAD SIX INCHES CHOPPED OFF - I'M OKAY NOW...)and I will post when developed!

Hugs,

Amy

I'm back on the wagon squarely, and, unlike you I am trying to find that fine line where I am out of ketosis but not gaining. I need to slow down the old weight loss, without going the other way. I think this is the hard part, determining that key point! Good for you and keep on keeping on the old Atkins way!

Hi Shawna,

Fact is, no matter what kind of diet a person goes on, it's best to plan for those "running around" times. When I know I'm going to get stuck in traffic (and it's pretty easy for me to know that, living where I do) I might just pack a picnic lunch (as I did today) or just be sure to have pre-prepped dinner so it's easy to pop into the oven and take-out will never be an issue. Don't think of it as "weakness"...just have a plan, and execute it for those busy times.
