Hello all! Don't know if anyone remembers me...it's Elle. Back for the 2nd time. Last summer I joined, but dropped off the radar because the board had a few too many "Negative Nellies". Glad to see things appear to be better!! I was doing a modified Atkins at the time, but I couldn't keep it up. Not a real big fan of meat, meat, eggs and more meat!! Although I will say that for the time I was on it (about 2 months) I did lose almost 20 pounds. Now the weight is back and has brought friends. So, I thought I would get myself in an atmosphere of folks trying to reach the same objectives as myself...losing weight and living a healthier lifestyle. I started back on the wagon July 5th. Think this time I am going to try good old portion control, healthier food choices and (gulp!) exercise. This weekend I'm pulling the Gazelle out of the garage and "taking it for a spin". Anyone else have one of these things? Is it working? Anyway, glad to be back and looking forward to getting to know everyone! Elle

Thanks Shawna and Linda! I am glad to be back and am more determined than ever to lose this dang weight! I have a couple of important occasions coming up next year and would really like to look good for them. My twin daughters are graduating from high school at the end of May and my oldest daughter is getting married sometime next summer. While those are important, the main reason is because I'd like to be around long after!! Every day I hear on TV or read about how obesity is now the #1 PREVENTABLE killer in the U.S. I find that a scary thought. So, one day at a time, here I go! I just had a huge yard sale this past weekend and couldn't believe the amount of clothing we had to get rid of. I decided to clear out the old stuff for good. I used to hang on to my old clothes thinking someday I'd be able to wear them again. Instead I've decided that if (when!) I reach my goal, I will deserve all new threads!! It will be a new me, so I should dress accordingly. Besides, my kids keep threatening to call that show "What Not To Wear" on me!!! I guess comfy clothes are not always the most fashionable!!

OK everyone... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!!
