Everytime I see your name/post I think of my littlest cat. Callie - a himalayan. she's about 3 now but the runt of the litter and only about 4lbs. But she's sooooooooo furry! She's such an angel but except when I have to brush her, which is why I have her shaved down to a "lion cut". She thinks she's so fabulous too when groomed like that! Just thought I'd share this for no reason at all!

Kerry,

When I worked for a vet, we had to shave down a Persian - the whole coat. That's what the owner wanted...so we sedated her..and did the lion cut first, including the tail. It was the funniest thing I have even seen as far as cats go. And to top it off, they are 'boneless' and completely floppy when sedated - just LIMP. We got a good laugh and shaved the rest of her.

The WEIRDEST thing, we had to amputate a tiger tabby's tail at the base. The vet cut the tail off in one neat bloodless piece and HANDED IT TO ME. Like a bouquet of flowers or something ! I just stared at it and I swear if it moved I would have passed out. I tossed it at the other tech who caught it and then screamed bloody murder for a minute. Some things I can deal with but if you hand me something's tail or leg, I get a bit wiggy.

***got the willies***
