8 Minutes in the Morning

I have just started on my second week of 8 Minutes in the Morning and I love it!! I have noticed a huge change in my energy level already, and my eating habits are so much healthier. I actually eat more often, but much less. It was amazing how much food I used to eat compared to now, and I'm not hungry now. I am also working out to the Kathy Smith fat burner video 2-3 times a week, and I walk the dog for 45 minutes almost every day. I know I'm still just starting out, but I feel great! Hopefully the feeling continues. I strongly recommend this program for anyone - it's very easy. I hope everyone else is feeling good this week too. Thanks for your support everyone!!!

Shannon,

I'm happy that you're happy and that things are working so well for you. But tell me....what is 8 Minutes in the Morning? An exercise program, or tape, of some sort??

8 Minutes in the Morning is a book written by Jorge Cruise that has 2 parts - an 8 minute exercise (toning) routine for every morning, and a healthy eating plan - the Cruise Down Plate. The exercises are fairly simple, but I usually feel the burn. The exercises also have a "mental" exercise in which you spend a few minutes in the morning visualizing yourself with a new healthy body. The Cruise Down Plate has you eat each meal by dividing your plate in half, and filling that half with vegetables and fruit. The other half of the plate gets divided into fourths with one fourth for protein and the other fourth for carbohydrates. Then every meal gets one tablespoon of fat. You eat 3 meals per day, with 2 snacks between meals. I've only been doing the plan for about 10 days, but so far I find it easy to follow and I feel I'm getting results already. The plan shoots for a 2 pound weight loss every week, which is supposed to ensure your skin doesn't sag too much. I actually lost 3 pounds the first week, and my muscles are feeling the burn - but not too bad. I try to do a workout video and walk the dog to add additional exercise.

((((Shannon)))

I totally agree with you that 8 Minutes in the Morning is an excellent program. I did try it on Monday, and it is great. I just can't seem to get into it the way that I know that should. I know that I'm not giving it a chance, so maybe I'll pick it up again in the future. I'm so glad that it is working for you! I am still doing my aerobics three or four times a week and I added some toning exercises too. So far, this routine seems to be working for me. Keep up the good work, Shannon! ****Hugs****

Shannon,

Thanks for the explanation; very clear too. Good that's it's working out so well for you. It sounds like you're very happy with it, and I'm sure the success will continue to your goal.
