I was just reading the entertainment section on MSN and there is an interesting story on Kirstie Alley and her weight gain.

Hi Kerstin,

I don't know. I saw Kirstie Alley on a promo for her new show, and she was shoveling spaghetti into her mouth, and giving a very unflattering depiction of what it means to be an obese woman in America. My instant impression (and it's just that, because I don't know anything about the new program and that's the first advertisement I've seen) is that she's really just capitalizing on her obesity, and casting others in an absolutely ugly light. We'll see what we shall see. That was just my impression, based on the advertisement she did for her show.

Speaking of CRAMMING spaghetti into your mouth... has anyone tried the whole wheat spaghetti?? I was worried it would be grainy or gritty, but it's yummy and I can't really tell the difference. I had mine with sun dried tomato pesto - DELICIOUS!!

I got some of the wheat ziti and i have not tried it yet. I'm scared that my boyfriend (who is EEEEEEEEE-Taaaaal-Yan) might not like it. He is really into good pasta. So hopefully he will like it. If not, then I guess i just won't be fixing it anymore. He already taunted me with a triple fudge cookie yesterday and i about had to break his neck. ^v^Christie

Spagetti Addict Here!

My mom makes The Best Spagetti in the World! It's something I have to avoid at all costs! It's a main trigger food for me!

I saw the commercial too, and she's not "a little overweight." Kristie Alley probably would qualify as "morbidly obese" in her doctor's office. Her weight seems to go up and down a lot, with some drastic fluctuations, judging from her various tv appearances over time.
