Im on board!
Good you're "on board," but in as much as Kristie Ally said certain things on programs which more than one person here saw, and one of those apparently a friend of yours, you might want to check it out.
Now the question is, who is more likely to be giving an accurate story? Should we trust what Kristie Ally herself says, when she appears on Letterman, Ellen, and ET? In other words, should we take it from "the horses mouth," or should we give more veracity to an supposed article in "People" which no one has been able to quote or link to? I'm betting that Kristie Ally HERSELF knows how much she weighs. And when Kristie Ally appears on 3 (count them, THREE) television shows and says she weighs 385 (and when her pictures LOOK LIKE she weighs a whole lot more than that)....well, we can use our heads and deduce that Kristie Ally, IN FACT, weighs AT LEAST 385 lbs, as she keeps telling us she does.
By why does it really matter? Whether she's 204 lbs (as you say) or 385 lbs (as Kristie Alley herself says), either way....she's morbidly obese, and still a really "fat actress" (as she claims, and as the title of her show is named). The program title is "FAT ACTRESS" after all, and that's all Kristie Alley is, all Kristie Ally HERSELF WANTS US TO SEE HER AS. If that's not the case, then she wouldn't want to star herself in a show TITLED "FAT ACTRESS" ALL ABOUT HER. End of story, don't you think!
Have a nice weekend.

Well, I am HOLDING IN MY HANDS the August 9, 2004 issue of People magazine with Kirstie Alley on the cover. The headline on the cover reads:
KIRSTIE ALLEY SPEAKS OUT LIVIN' LARGE Frank, funny and 203 pounds, the star opens up about her weight, her life and her new show, Fat Actress. Says Alley: 'I like who I am'.
The article begins on p. 84. From p. 85 of the article:
"Sitting barefoot at her kitchen table and smoking cigarettes (a habit she only recently resumed), Alley appears far slimmer than the 300 lbs. frequently cited in the media: 'A gross exaggeration,' says the 5'8" star. Alley says that paparazzi shoot her from lower angles to make her look bigger and contends that some of the photos have been doctored. 'I'm forever walking around in grocery stores and people go, "You don't look that fat! How did you lose that weight so fast?"' she says. 'I haven't lost a pound.'"
So when are you, Forte, or kinja going to post quotes from a transcript of one of the three shows on which Alley supposedly appeared and claimed in total seriousness that she weighed 385 pounds? I can't find anything that suggests she was on Ellen (it is in reruns right now, isn't it?) or Letterman.
