What does this -243/237/145- mean? I know the starting weight part but the second and third weight (ending weight)?

Also do we do a weekly weigh in here (and post it somewhere down the board)?

I just got a pedometer and I'm waiting on my Walk Away the Pounds videos (I ordered 6) - excessive? maybe? *blush*

It's also a nice week this week (not too hot) and my girls and I are going to start walking again. (I don't walk when its too hot because my redhead over heats like crazy and I don't bring the baby out in too much sun.) Tonight we are also going shopping and I plan on doing a few laps in the store before we actually start shopping - and I'm buying a scale - but only to weigh myself ONCE a week - I hope I can stick to that.

I can't exactly change my "diet" because I am still breastfeeding but my exercise habits I can definately change. But I think we may be soon done with breastfeeding.

I know I said I'd try to post (and I am now) but it's hard for me to start feeling comfortable on the boards right away (like people have their little "groups" and I don't belong, silly I know).

Hey Elise! Don't feel so bad. I have only been here for 4 days, and I know what you are talking about with some people talk more to others, but i really feel that Shawna is right. Some people have just been here longer. The more i post on here the more i feel like people are willing to talk to me. Just like in person, it is hard getting to know some people; however, everone I have met on here is REALLY nice! They have good information for anyone starting a new diet, and they are great at getting you pumped up to do your very best on whatever changes you want to make in your life (not just weight loss.) As for the weight bar thingy ???/???/??? <---- I personally have not made one, because I have no idea if I have lost anything yet. (I'll check today) Just with the change in my eatting habits i'm sure atleast half a pound is gone. Hee hee. If you have any questions just post them no matter how dumb you may think they are. Lord knows my very first post about "boo hoo what do I buy at the grocery store to eat" was really stupid, but EVERYONE jumped in and told me about all of the good things i could eat and STILL lose weight. This is a great way to get support, and the people here know exactly what it is like to try to lose weight. Good luck in your program, and I hope to see many more posts from you in the future! ^v^Christie

Hi Elise,

I'm sorry that you don'g feel comfortable posting on the boards yet. I know what you mean about it feeling a little awkward at first. I've been here about 7 months now, so I feel very comfortable now, but when I first joined, I wasn't always comfortable. Don't get me wrong, everyone was very welcoming, but I tend to be a shy person and I guess I just had to get to know everyone before I was comfortable. But feel free to jump in anytime!

I think all your other questions have been answered. And please feel free to post anytime you want or need to :)

Elise, I have been down a little lately so I've been lurking more than posting. Let me take this time to welcome you. I have only been here a couple of months, but everyone has welcomed me with open arms. I don't know where I would be without them. I haven't lost any thing since last December and they give me hope that i will get my fat butt off this plateau. I am maintaining. When i started dieting this last time I was at 290#, but my all time high is 298#. I am currently at 270#. My goal is 135#. Hence: 290/270/135. I hope you stick around to enjoy the company. Hugs, Brenda

Hi Elise,

I'm pretty sure that the second weight is your current weight and the thrird one is your goal weight. I hope that you will begin to feel more comfy on the boards because we seem to have some things in common. I have started with walk away the pounds tapes too, but i only have three and i'm still breast feeding too. I don't know what kind of eating plan you are following, I'm personally doing weight watchers and adding 10 points extra per day for the breast feeding. Whatever you decide to do keep on posting. I saw on The View thta dieters that have on-line support are more likely to stick with it and have success.

All,

Don't get me wrong on this - I have been very welcomed here and I loved it- its just I need to find my own little "thing". I use to post a lot on the ttc board and the "are you pregnant" board a long while ago and got into a groove there. Heck I loved the chats here too (when they were open chats).

I just know I need to wade in instead of jumping in right away. I don't know about losing any yet because of the whole "I need to buy a scale" thing - but in a few hrs I will have one. :)

p.s. I hope you all enjoy stupid woman/mom humor - my husband doesn't lol

Hey Elise,

It's good to see you post again! I just ordered Walk Away the Pounds video. Hopefully, it will come soon so that I can get started with it. I love having a variety of exercise tapes, and I heard that WAP was a good one.
