I was finally able tonight to do my long-delayed grocery shopping tonight, so now I'm well-supplied with beautiful, healthy, delicious food.

The only suggestion I have is to keep walking when you can.

Get in the water, if possible. It will take the weight off of the joints that are weight bearing (hips, knees and ankles)and it will do wonders....

Hope that helps!

Please use caution when a barkingshark tells you to get in the water!

:D

Amy's is right though. Quite a few years ago I dislocated one of my knees and since then I've developed arthritis in both of them - of course the weight didn't help. So to help me kick start my exercise routine I started doing a water fitness class. I loved it! You can do both deep or shallow water (deep is zero impact and you use a floatation device around your waist while shallow is more aerobic) and get a great workout.

Plus, as mentioned by Shawna, walking is the best thing you can do. If I've been out walking for far too long and my knees ache when I get home I elevate my legs and put a bag of frozen peas - wrapped in a hand towel - on them (the peas will wrap themselves perfectly around the knee).

Hope it helps.
