Wow!! I have been dieting since June 3 and have been pretty successful. But of course life presents challenges food not on my diet and SOMEONE else cooked it. Wow!! I had to face this two days in a row. At the beginning of the year we have Friday lunch and it is catered in (school). I took the food and looked at it and made a decision. EAT IT!!!! But stop when I am full leaving YES!!! food behind. This is such a huge thing for me............ I was raised "EAT all your food". I ate slow and enjoyed the conversations around me. I worked hard at listening and talking to those around me. I stopped when I was full. Yes there was food left behind. Did I stare at it and say oh gosh!!! I have to finish this.......Nope I got up took the plate to the trash and dumped it returned to the table and kept enjoying the conversations at the table. Test 2: My ex and I took our daughter to school for the last time this is her senior year in college. We always stop at Cracker Barrel half way between home and school and eat. I ordered my favorite foods there and when it came I ate slowly and talked to my ex. Again when I was through I had food on my plate. I ordered my favorite dessert. I savored evry bite and yes I left some on my plate. I was a card carrying fool in No food left behind and now I am a card carrying fool on stop when you are full and yes leave food behind!!!! I still have 141 more pounds to lose.

I'm glad you can do this. This is a real problem for me. Growing up we always had to clean our plates. I feel really guilty when I don't. It just about kills me. I don't make my boys clean their plates, but I have been known to do it for them. I wish you continued luck. I also hope I find your will power. I am getting better. Hugs, Brenda

I have a really BAD problem with this too. I can never leave a bite of food on my plate. I know why too. There have been times in my past growing up as well as 2 years ago, where I didn't HAVE the money to buy food, so whenever we got food we ate it, and ate it ALL. I still have this hook up in my mind saying "That is just wasting food" Even thought I do not have to worry about it, and i haven't for awhile, I still find myself thinking it. The only way I have found to deal with this problem is give some to my 10 month old daughter, and my boston terrier, Mushuggah. That way i feel like everyone eats, and the food is not bought, and then thrown away. ^v^Christie

Brenda!!!

This is new for me also. I am one who really believed in cleaning the plate and if I really liked it I would finish it while I "did the dishes" because........... I had many excuses on why there was no leftovers. I have been working on this and I did it!! You just have to put your mind to it and make a decision............. I know I will fall off the wagon but I know I can get back on. Try it once, try it twice, just never give up.

Why yes it does. The very first time I saw a Boston terrier I knew I wanted one, and I thought that name would rock for a little dog. Him and his little spiked collar RULE! LMAO! (the meaning fits him, too!) ^v^Christie

I met Tomas Haake and Mårten (the guitarist) backstage at Ozzfest 2002. Mårten and I had a big disagreement over our favourite hockey players, and he wore the jersey of the player I don't like onstage just to annoy me. How cute!

But they rock. my favourite album of theirs is Destroy Erase Improve.

BTW did you ever get my email through your profile?

In regards to the post it's self:

I also plan the amount of food i am going to be fixing so there will be none leftover, so i don't feel like i am wasteing food, also if the food is not there then you can't eat it.

Spam-ula-sammich (MUGHHAHAHAHAHA):

Yes i did get your email and i wrote you back at the leafy address. That wouldn't have anything to do with the Toronto Maple Leafs would it? I do like me a good Tie Domi in the morning (HA! I wish!) I still think they should ger CUJO back. I luvvvvvvvvvd him! It is hard to find a good amount of Red Wing's games here in N.C., so not much Curtis for me. I guess I will have to make due with the local hockey team (Yes, we have hockey in N.C.) The players fit in really well with the toothless rednecks that can be found here, but for the record, i am in the part of N.C. were oral hygiene available, and i take full advantage of it! (insert big toothy grin here!) ^v^Christie
